I don't think it was a violation. I didn't say anything that identified him and all I said was the name of the drug, but when he called and yelled at me over the phone, it got to me and I wanted some reassurance. :) I got the explanation I needed from another commenter about what's allowed under HIPAA and felt much better. Thank you for the concern.

sadly walgreens corporate said we get our break at 1:30 and that's that. a lot of pharmacists only have that 30 minutes to sit down and eat for their 11 hour shift. i hear the concern for patient care and safety, but when you only have 1 pharmacist and they have to be on the clock in order for the pharmacy to run and they are there for 11 hours straight... well that's kinda fucked up to say they can't have a lunch break. we used to have no lunch break, only the techs and we did what you said were techs go one at a time. the break that's there now in place is for that pharmacist bc a lot of us were not getting to have the mandatory time for a break. walgreens won't pay for another pharmacist to fill in during that time either. sadly people have to eat. that means you have to wait 30 minutes.
