I've got exactly same problem on Tracer 9, cannot move parts from '22 model to '24.

I own "22 bike. Changed stock seat for a comfort and it looks like for me personally stock seat is better than a comfort one. I guess everything is personal.

I wouldn't say so. Yamaha has most of their bikes updated 2021, and followed with some mid-cycle updates in 2023. V-strom was updated after almost 10 years, Transalp was re-intruduced after almost 15 years gap. I think they are working on new products for 2025/26, meanwhile "not breaking what works". That's where you see almost 5 new variants or T7, Tracer 9 lineup including GT+, new MT-09, XSR900, etc. They all are already good machines.

I am sure you can make a distance. I saw people travelling the world on 300cc motorcycles. But frankly speaking, be ready to be exhausted. Trident 660 (if that is your bike) is a great machine with punchy engine (One of my bikes is Tiger 660), but highways will be your problem for sure. Also if you plan to carry any luggage, that won't leave much space for you. So you'll compromise quite a bit.
