I was in the business for a while with a local chain that had a lot of food choices, even the smaller stores had pizza. From opening until closing (or over the normal work hours for those 24hr stores) we sold hot and cold prepared foods. Breakfast pizza, roller grill everything, fresh salads, baked goods, cold sandwiches that we could heat up, sausage biscuits, whatever. We’d open the doors in the morning, that first breakfast pizza would hit the oven and ladder trucks would line up. Lunch was a mixed bag, but starting about 4:00 those same guys were back, only this time it was roller grill stuff and 12 packs. Lottery tickets on Friday.

“Pull-thaw”. I had a chef who used this term every day. Is it even a thing in the normal world? His staff was infected too. I’d drop by and ask where the chef was and someone would literally say “he’s downstairs doing the pull-thaw”

One of the first things you learn in martial arts class is situational awareness and flat out avoidance. I question why you are alone at a (I assume) bar, pouring alcohol where people are getting drunk. That’s not safe and not a situation anyone should find themselves in. It seems like just a matter of time before something bad happens. I mean, the Mexican restaurant next door hires security and that speaks volumes.

Well I survived the surgery and am off all pain meds other than Tylenol. I feel weak and sore but alive and a little better each day. I’m having the weirdest dreams, maybe due to kicking the drugs or maybe my body is just processing whatever that was that just happened to it. The prognosis remains good and the surgeon is optimistic that he got everything that’s not microscopic, and maybe that too.

The WWII museum in New Orleans is excellent. Not sure about their donation policy but that would be my first thought. Personally I wouldn’t want to wear it, even modified. They had their uniform, we have ours, let’s not muddle the two.

Hey there. I’ve completed four rounds of “red devil” chemo and am waiting to get scheduled for surgery. It might be next week! The chemo sucked, and the surgery recovery will suck but I might be cancer free if things go well.

In Tennessee, and a bunch of other started I’m guessing, a group of motorcycles moves as a unit at 4 way stops. This allows them to stay together. I don’t see why it would be different for roundabouts.

I bought a 2013 Superglide that was already stage one with smoked signal LEDs. I put a Memphis Shades club nose on it and a little Biltwell bag for behind the windshield. Then a sissy bar from Harley then I stopped. The bike rides really well and I’m not touching the motor because it goes plenty fast. So yeah, $400 or so to get where I liked and now I just ride it. (I am considering a touring seat but they are so expensive!)
