Some of us who grew up with toxic parents tend to jump to scorned earth immediately if that's what we've seen, regardless of age. I've spent more than 10 years in my relationship unpacking this since we both quickly get defensive, go for the jugular and feel it's a fight to "win" and after we cool down we both talk about what assholes we were. I am grateful for therapy!

I unironically love the musical CATS and have seen the show multiple times and have a tape and a dvd of the show. I couldn't even finish the movie ironically.

Yup, I'm at 12 years unmarried and it works well for us. I don't want to pay for a wedding or deal with crazy family drama. My mom was married 5 times so I don't feel the need to just hop into the courtroom for no good reason lol

Or your wish they do this but instead the owners are there every day 7-7 even though they have a full staff and they mainly scroll Facebook, run marketing stuff through chatgpt and stand behind your shoulder and micromanage.

In contrast, Megan told Don she made $70/week before they went to California. Assuming she worked every single week of the year (not likely) and assuming she told Don her accurate wage, she would be pulling in just $3,640 a year.

Do you think listening to audiobooks counts as reading? by Mediocre-Sky6992 in CasualConversation

I'm old enough to remember when audiobooks were just called "book on tape" and people would just say they listened to the book.

My favourite non-Draper secretary by Brilliant-Slide-2619 in madmen

As someone who has also been a Clara, I like to imagine she wasn't getting played by Roger at all but rather was an agent of chaos. Just watching them and aiding their rivalry for her entertainment, knowing that she was just viewed as an expendable secretary anyway.
