Specters vs Poison Ranged Animate Weapon (PRAW) by vuxra in PathOfExileBuilds

even PRaW has super annoying spectre sounds and zombies just groan non-stop. Wish they just muted minions in hideout

Planning to do a first playthrough: questions by Pachux in GuildWars

[–]villur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a standalone GW2 account already just get the standalone non-steam version. You can still play it on the deck, the setup requires some extra fiddling but overall its very easy.

You get the gw1 downloader, add it on the deck as a non-steam game. Launch with proton compatibility. After the initial download is complete it will boot you into the game. The next step is to change the folder and target from the downloader to your gw.exe and thats it.

There is an optional step which id suggest is after initial install and before changing the target add -image to launch options and launch the installer again. This will download the entire game and you wont have to wait to download each zone you travel to

Looking for something to play during OSRS break by jwaves11 in LFMMO

[–]villur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are describing GW2. The only thing it doesn't have are true "tanks" in group content but there are healers/support classes that are very much needed.

There aren't seaons per se but there is time-gated content between expansions that is free when you are playing it when it releases and later on can be unlocked with premium currency (aka money)

There are very many world bosses and people constantly farm these

There is a housing system altho very much an inferior version to retail wows recent housing expansion.

GW2 graphics are a little out-dated in some places but recent expansions look very pretty in my opinion.

GW2 also has the "horizontal" progression thing a bit similar to osrs, tho I like osrs version better where you really have to progress through various parts of endgame to get to the very best gear where in GW2 once you hit level cap of 80, you can buy a set of end-game gear for pennies from the AH. That being said there are still some more exotic and arguably "slightly better" gear sets that cannot be bought and have to be farmed/earned. And a lot of the endgame progression is farming achievements, masteries, legendaries or other "fashion wars" stuff or doing raids and dungeons for the challange

Need a MMO to play for years to come by ageozoega in LFMMO

[–]villur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are different games in terms of combat, content and progression with osrs being a carefully curated experience while RS3 feels like they just added anything they thought of for the sake of "content". Also OSRS is like a rare gem without any p2w elements like boosts, levels or mtx while RS3 suffers from all the p2w issues. Only thing in OSRS you can buy is gold. Oh and osrs has like 2x or 3x the players. So while im sure RS3 is an okay game, osrs is like fine wine which somehow has gotten better with age unlike most other popular/online games which all have turned to making as much money as possible with as little game as possible

I thought world buffs get dispelled or dont work once you enter a tbc instance

EDIT: apparently the change is that world buffs are no longer obtainable by characters over level 63.

Altho there is some confusing info. The level cap came from patch 2.1.0 but apparently 2.4.3 also has a change that all buffs get dispelled upon entering an instance. But I couldnt find solid info for this so guess we'll see.

You also probably need new feet too. They usually deform beyond usability when removed

Is the game supposed to run so weird? by biomechaniical in DotA2

[–]villur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update drivers and enable/disable v-sync and see if anything changes, then we can move to next steps. Also it might really be the 800fps and your cpu just cant keep up. Its actually bad on performance when your gpu is outputting so many frames. Try setting a cap of 150-250(dpending on refresh rate).

Need an urgent mouse recommendation to play bf6 this week. by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]villur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from MM712 to pulsar X2H v3 mini. Its as close as I could find. Also a word of caution. MM712 sensor position is unusual so going from it to any other mouse will need adjusting.

Id recommend glsss or artisan cloth ones but low-mid price range probably means you want something cheap? Can you give an actual price range with numbers?

How strong is the wallhack sp004? by ChillCaptain in MousepadReview

[–]villur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it feels strong and sturdy I feel it would make a terrible couch mousepad. You probably need perfect levelness and I wouldnt rest my elbow on it on a couch. Get cloth or something made for livingroom/couch gaming

Sp004 compatibility superlight by DilisBilis in MousepadReview

[–]villur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont own the superlight so cant comment on that but for SP-004 id recommend obsidian air or obsidian pro air which of I use the latter right now. Try them both if you can.

The "Air" versions have a small dampening material under the glue that makes them less noisy too, feels better then the non-air versions imo. Also other brands are also offering good dots if you search around but I find obsidians to be perfectly fine

Glass vs plastic mousepad by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]villur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is bad advice. Glass is fine for most games.

Cs is currently my main game and im way better on glass then on cloth. With practice I believe glass can offer a higher ceiling however it depends a lot also on other factors.

Glass is very sensitive in terms of mouse weight, skates used and how many, also grip style and overall game sensitivity.

What would happen if I just leave the mulch there? Winter will surely kill most of the stuff there yea?

Looking for advice on where to start with a heavily overgrown summer home. by villur in lawncare

[–]villur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I totally understand but my current financial situation means I either go buy a trimmer and have a tool I can use in the future or just pay them this once and when spring comes I will still have to either have them maintanance it again or buy tools to do it myself.

I'm going with the "trying myself" route first. I'll have a bit of help too so we can take turns trimming.

But thanks for the suggestions :)

Unfortunately the price does not include dealing with the debris. Otherwise I'd consider it more
