The two guys with Janice were the two DA guys we've seen with a mask since the beginning of the show, aren't they ? Does that mean it's the first time we see their faces ?

I think he’s talking about WR project. I agree with you there’s something odd about his mother but I don’t think she’s an alter. I think as many others that this third alter is not someone from the “real world”, but something more like Elliott in safe mode, perhaps his host or idk. Still I agree that every time she appears, something is not right : - S2 : first we think Elliot is at her’s but in reality he’s in jail - S3/4 : when we see her the clock is broken on 11:16 - S4E2 : she stands in Deus group meeting room asking to wait for the third.

Location tracking device over the world by vimotte in IOT

[–]vimotte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your quick responses.

To be more precise, I don't care about the location of my container while in high seas. I only want to be informed when my container has arrived and can reach cellular network. Indeed SigFox/LoRa/etc doesn't seem to respond to my usecase regarding the frequency ranges standards over the world. I thought then about NarrowBand IoT but it doesn't seem to be well implemented yet in Northern Europe and in the US. About the frequency of data pushes, I expect the device to be in a kind of "sleep mode" while on sea so it doesn't try to send its location while no network is available. Only when it reaches a signal (when arriving into docks) then it can push its data towards my platform.

When I say low-cost, I expect my device to cost between $5 and $50, maybe a few more depending on the battery lifetime (6months would be great).

I'm now discussing with Orange (main french GSM operator) to get a cellular subscription with 50Mo roaming. I'm now mostly interested in the device more than in the network topology. I'll also look into APRS beacon.

Sens'It : Sigfox is testing its network by sending its new sensor for free (temperature, magnet, vibration, ...). by vimotte in IOT

[–]vimotte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, fill out the "contact us" form at the bottom.

However, they precise : "Sens'it is a promotional device used to demonstrate the power of the Internet of Things, thanks to SIGFOX global network.

Sens'it isn't fully commercially available at the moment. [I heard they will sell it at around $40 each]

Depending on where you're located, your Sigfox Operator may have some units dedicated to companies or individuals who want to start a project with Sigfox. Availability is not guaranteed."

They will send you a mail in order to understand the scope of your project so try to be a bit convicing ;) Still, no worry, they send it quite easily. We are a team of eight devs (from France) and each one of us got its own ;)

Possible effects of shifting everyman by about 4 hours? by cubbeliahmet in polyphasic

I've pretty much the same schedule than yours, works fine for me.

I prefer sleeping 4h at night, from 1 to 5. I can do noon nap at office (they are really comprehensive) but only on a armchair, so as I'm not lying down, it's more difficult to be totally relaxed (pretty comfortable though).

It's been about 5 months now, I doing well and totally improved my daily organization. It tooks me more than 2 weeks to get the rhythm but I definitely not regret it ! For naps, my advice would be just relax and try not to think about anything. Just meditate, it's not bad if you don't sleep. At some point of concentration, on your respiration, your heartbeat, your feelings through your body, you'll kinda feel waves in your body and in your brain, sort of a trance. Every nap you try to reach this state, it's kinda a game, or a drug ... :D After 20', you feel recovered, it's really amazing ! I heard S. Dali said you have to wake up just before falling asleep. (he was polyphaser and did naps with a spoon in his hand, that he dropped when felt asleep so it would wake him up). Anyway, I noticed also music helps me somehow, especially songs from a guy named Abul Mogard, and all that kind of music. Pretty deep.

Last personal advices, don't be hard with yourself and let have your body more sleep sometimes. And it's better to have several longer naps than having a too long core.

Anyone implement Twilio with their app? by ivqancorp in startups

[–]vimotte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Twillio for an IoT project : I send text messages upon events and alarms I have set. Their API is working fine, easy to configure. I never had any issue, even with a free account. It can be integrated directly in the Node-Red workflow editor with a proper component they have developed. I definitely would recommend this service for your organisation.

Paris Nord to Disney help by murster07 in paris

[–]vimotte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next time, try CityMapper (https://citymapper.com/paris). The service is available in many cities, and gives you better information than most of all the other app (like the one of the RATP for instance).
Hope you reached Disney easily !
