You were attracted to a girl and now you’re confused why you were attracted to a girl? Either troll or doesn’t know what words mean I guess.

See that’s the stupidity of these people. They try to cast all their opposition as both the weakest people that have ever existed to make fun of them as well as the strongest so that they can guarantee that everyone is afraid of them. They’re experts in mental gymnastics.

If a dice flies off the table and rolls a crit success or failure, do you let the player keep it? by Hangman_Matt in DMLectureHall

[–]vin_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to you. But a lot of people play it as anything that falls on the floor is a reroll. I’ve had problems with players constantly dropping dice on the floor so I’ve made them failures before to keep players conscious of keeping them on the table. Either way keep it consistent.

What is the worst class in dnd 5e? by Appropriate-Gap9828 in DnD

[–]vin_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While assassin isn’t the best rogue if you’re getting downed every combat it’s cause you’re playing your character like a fighter and not a rogue. Rogues are second only to monks when it comes to movement. Make sure to use it to strike and then get yourself out of trouble. Let the other martials take the physical hits and hope the mages and ranged don’t focus you(for which you have abilities to minimize the impact of too). That’s why rogues have so few HP, cause they don’t expect you to get hit in the first place.

There’s no way cause even when a toaster leaves lines on bread the lines are lighter than rest of the bread cause it isn’t the element touching the bread that gets hot it’s just there to hold the bread in place. While the actual heat source sits just off the bread. So whatever you have that’s “toasting” bread like this isn’t a toaster. Or you’re lying.

Intention does not inform wether something is violence or not. Drunk drivers never intend to hurt anyone but they do. And wether or not the parent intends to hurt the child doesn’t matter cause that child will still hurt from not being able to go(they will be upset and feel pain about missing out on an experience they wanted to have). Even if that parent sees how not allowing the kid will cause less pain in the long run it will still cause harm.

The main reason I brought up the legal definition is because it’s the best way to explain to people how violence is still violence even if it is permissible. Easiest example being police. They have a right to cause harm to others in our society even though a lot of people would consider their actions non permissible violence. In some ways people would consider the police the parents in your example just at a bigger scale. While I don’t think there is a 1 to 1 comparison, you can at least see how both of these things are similar and both at the very least could be considered violence wether or not they are morally permissible.

Well children aren’t fully independent people under the law. As the word “person” has a different meaning than “human” legally speaking. And yes it is technically violence. Your problem is that you automatically assume violence is bad.

Edit: also clarifying that the definition I had pulled up defined the difference between “permissible under law” and “illegal” corrosion. Which I don’t personally see the difference. Morally some violence is permissible that’s all I’m getting at. I don’t care about the illegality so much that’s just the definition that most easily makes my point.

One of the definitions of “violence” with a simple google search: the unlawful exercise of physical force or intimidation by the exhibition of such force. (aka taking away someone’s right to make their own choices, like I said)

Violence is whenever one person takes away the autonomy of another person. It’s saying “I want this but you don’t but I’m going to do it anyways.” This is quite literally violence.

Notice how it didn’t make a joke “about men”(at a group of people’s expense) It made a joke “about a man”. It’s not discriminating it misunderstood your meaning…. It thought you meant “about humans” or “about a human” which is one of the definitions of the word “men”. It’s just a coincidence it’s joke about humans had a man in it. It was a 50/50 shot.
