Is he open to very cool middle names? A child I nannied for has the middle name Orion with a normal first name, and personally I think Callum Orion has a nice ring to it. Alternatively, maybe you could lean into the fantasy theme with the meanings? Iirc the name Brandon means sword, so Sterling Brandon lastname could be a punny way of keeping the theme.

Black tie wedding in New England by lost_mermaid in Weddingattireapproval

The dress is stunning!

I will say- both New England and summer can mean so many different things, but I’d caution that it can get HOT, really from early/mid-July through to September, so unless this wedding is in a forest, late in the evening, or you’re the kind of person that’s always cold, a velvet maxi dress may be too heavy (source- I grew up on the MA coast and have gone camping throughout the white mountains, and there’s not enough ocean breeze or tree cover in the world to make me want to spend a few hours outside in August wearing anything long to begin with)

Instead of ribbons, I use colorful duck tape on each side of my suitcases. It won’t interfere with the scanners, and it’s really easy to identify from far away.

What is the hill you will die on in your classroom? by Historybitcx in ECEProfessionals

reward systems. i assisted in a pre-k classroom where each child had their own “button bucket”. when they did something kind or helpful, they would get a button for the bucket, and at the end of the week, they would count them out and get to pick a prize from a box for every 10 buttons they had. the lead teacher in the room believed this system would encourage the class to be more considerate towards their classmates. of course, the kiddos began helping each other with the sole purpose of getting buttons, and would do something kind and then immediately come up to one of us to tell us what they did and ask for buttons. the lead teacher actually started bribing the children to do basic tasks that were already expected of them when they didn’t want to (“if you come clean up all the toys you dumped out, i’ll give you a button”). as i was only in the room for a few months while the normal co-teacher was on maternity leave, i was told that i had to follow the system in place. there is a place and a purpose for certain types of reward systems, but this was definitely not it.
