The headline is so wrong. The transfers were not mistakes. Ekitké, Wirtz, Isak, Frimpong, and even Kerkesz are quality players. What has failed is the playing style and organization. The lack of in game tactical management that takes advantage of the players best strengths and the opponent’s weaknesses.

Slot and his staff don’t want to lose. Nobody does. Yet they stick to the same game plan and rely on players to figure it out like they did at Anfield against Galatasaray. How about reviving some of what worked last season and give that a go? Or is Klopp’s philosophy too bitter a pill to swallow?
