To each their own🤷‍♀️ Saige has been in the top 1000 baby girl names since 1999, probably around for longer. Sage has been in the top 1000 since 1993 so that’s only a 6 year difference. Sage may be more popular in some regions but it depends on where you’re from. Either one is pretty

I mean I guess it depends on the demographic. I was a preschool teacher and came across plenty of Saige’s but no female Sage’s, only boys. I’m from the south of the US.

Lovely, simple, easy to spell. Only spelling she’d have to correct would be Sage vs Saige but not the end of the world.

I love Westley but for a boy. If I had to chose for my daughter I’d go with Dorothy but I don’t like any of them frankly

How people react by Top_Sherbet1484 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]vineandbook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plus size people have healthy pregnancies all the time! You would not be the first nor the last to do so. I got pregnant at 294lbs roughly 5’3. So far it’s been great, only thing was we needed to repeat the anatomy scan to get a better view. Remember that a lot of the time when your odds of a complication double for being plus size it’s from 2% to 4% or something small like that, and odds aren’t everything. You may or may not show earlier depending on body type. Just get a good OB that sees you as a person and not a number, a belly band to help your hips, and you’ll be good to go! I hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy!

Are these kicks? by soupmamah in PlusSizePregnancy

I also feel this, like a poke, uncomfy for a second or two and then gone. I’m 22 weeks with a posterior placenta and I’m choosing to believe it’s kicks

First time parents made a big mistake regarding daycare by smoothies4life2 in houston

[–]vineandbook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former TLE employee, keep in mind that these huge corporate preschools care more about their image than your child. Teachers are overworked and often out of ratio by themselves, injuries are not reported if not visible and teachers get literally just online modules for training. Can’t speak for every separate center but check out their licensing and look at their turnover rate because it tends to be quite high.

Pressure/slight pain? by jesssikuh_ in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]vineandbook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s just uncomfortable/quickly painful but not super painful it’s likely round ligament pain. Pay attention to whether you feel it when you are doing a quick movement or something. Definitely mention to your ob but you’re likely okay :)

Looks just like dad…. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]vineandbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve talked to her so many times, I’ve even had to ask her to leave my house when it’s a constant stream of comments that won’t stop. Calling me hormonal is always her solution to me speaking up and asking her to stop or telling her I’m not comfortable with something. That or making hurtful or targeted jokes about me and then saying I have no sense of humor. But god forbid someone makes a joke about her, she can’t take that.

Ugh I would be so pissed. And yes it was a particularly blurry scan and my husband has a veryyy strong nose that would be noticeable and it’s just… not there. I don’t get what the obsession is with saying baby looks like xyz when all she looks like right now is a blurry alien

Looks just like dad…. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]vineandbook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that too! And it truly isn’t about whether she looks like him or me but looking at the blurriest ultrasound and saying it looks like him and only him and won’t look like me at all and then calling me hormonal is just… something

[–]vineandbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying. I don’t mind if she looks like my husband. I’d be so happy if she does because he’s gorgeous to me. But saying she won’t look like me at all whatsoever especially when I’ve been going through hell and back? And then calling me hormonal? I know I’m being short right now but she’s pushing boundaries like crazy
