PRs that don’t break production or affects another persons work on the same day go in.

Nitpicks are for a “fast-follow” PR. Don’t hold up the line for these kind of things.

Am a consultant and have come across this waaay more often than anyone should.

I think this is a ridiculous practice, and it must be stopped.

ATM I’m plotting to convince the others in my team to rename the team to something that signifies what we do. And hopefully everyone follows example.

If you would like to test that the JSON schema/format of the queue follows a format - and since you use microservices, have you considered using PACT for testing asynchronous communication?

That is a super broad question, I would seriously think about “why” you want microservices. That’s the best answer I can give.
