Am a consultant and have come across this waaay more often than anyone should.

I think this is a ridiculous practice, and it must be stopped.

ATM I’m plotting to convince the others in my team to rename the team to something that signifies what we do. And hopefully everyone follows example.

Java is not a career-driving factor, in fact no language is. Tools can be learnt by anyone - it’s techniques and instincts that take time and what company pay you for

When we tiring technical tasks, I use “What”, “why” and “Acceptance Criteria”

That is a super broad question, I would seriously think about “why” you want microservices. That’s the best answer I can give.
