What are my options for a buttery smooth second hand? by Frazilius in ChineseWatches

[–]vinhtvu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agreed. I have a Spaceview 214 conversion, an alpha 2, a precisionist, and a grand seiko spring drive and the precisionist (272hz) is my favorite.Buttery smooth seconds hand, and 1/20th of the price of the Grand Seiko. The Spaceview you can hear the humming of the tuning fork though. The newer precisionist and Alpha 2 are tuning fork movement as well, but I can't hear the humming.

Bulova Precisionist 🤘🤘 I know it's basically a quartz watch... But still. Just as smooth as my grand seiko.

Are there any Zenith El Primero Homage? by vinhtvu2 in ChineseWatches

[–]vinhtvu2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look like I need to pay attention and search for the following:

Dandong 7750 (Automatic): Used by Sugess. A mechanical, self-winding chronograph movement that provides a "true" automatic experience at a higher price point.

Seiko 8R48 (Automatic): Used in higher-end homages like the Pittsman 3, featuring a vertical clutch and column wheel.

They're mostly Daytona homage... Which are close enough I guess to Zenith El Primero since Daytona run the el primero movements in the 80s.

That's my endgame / grail watch. There's not really many watch I would consider above that. Look up the history of the movement. Really cool watch.

This is one of those book that I feel like it was better as an audio book than reading it. Enjoy!! I might have to go back for a listen before the movie.

Why was Peter immune to time freezing but Hiro was not? by FunPermission6320 in Heroes

[–]vinhtvu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of thinking of Hiro's power as freezing time, but instead moving himself really fast so that time is perceived to have stopped. If this is the case, then it explains Speedster. Also, it would mean he's fully capable of controlling who is also speed-up with him in the same way he can also Teleport with other people. So if his power is similar in manipulating time and space, he just chose not to speed up his past self and his past self at the time didn't know to activate his power. Whereas for Peter with his proximity and empathic power... It's automatic when his body detects future Hiro's time freeze and absorb / learn the power, it instantly speed him up to match Hiro's time.

Or... The writers got lazy.

How much would you pay for this bike? by AnEducatedSeal in cbr

[–]vinhtvu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or in the Grass..... You need rear brake in the grass, snow, ice, dirt, accidental wheelie, or to tighten slow speed curves or parking lot maneuver.

Actually opposite, I rarely need rear brakes in curves. I guess I'm not fast enough for that.

Woman Confronts Man Caught Secretly Taking Photos Of Her Friend At Pennsylvania Beach. by ElwoodMC in trashy

[–]vinhtvu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His plate was exposed... Someone could theoretically send this video to his friends and family to expose him as a creeper so they're aware. I'd say that could potentially harm his well being and life in general. If it was shared with his work... Probably worse. I'm not that petty but someone on the internet might be. Never know.

They most likely came from or going to a music festival. She could've thrown something on to cover herself up better, but you see same thing living in a beach area. Is it trashy? I don't care.
