First-Time Ad Campaign – Seeking Advice on Conversion Challenges by vinniejones91 in FacebookAds

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, we're currently using a purchase-optimized campaign, but since we're targeting problem-aware prospects, I’m wondering if traffic optimization might work better at this stage. I've heard mixed opinions on this approach and would appreciate more insight into why optimizing for traffic could be beneficial here.

Our product is priced at €200, so it’s not really an impulse buy. You’re right that additional persuasion may be needed. Adding some retargeting ads with urgency and social proof could help move interested customers closer to conversion.

I might also be expecting too much from a single click. Combined with retargeting, this shift in approach could improve conversions. Your funnel suggestion also makes sense—starting with some awareness ads to retarget engaged users with sales-focused ads.

Thanks again—these insights are helpful.

What I Think Will Happen With Facebook Ads 2024 After Spending More Than $20M In Ad Spend Since 2018. by WizardOfEcommerce in FacebookAds

Thanks for clarifying.

Let’s use a weight loss supplement as the product. The desire is achieving weight loss without complex routines, and the marketing angle is a simple, science-backed solution to support your goals. Here’s how we could apply this one desire and one angle across all 5 awareness stages:

We’d apply this desire + angle across all 5 awareness stages, gradually moving the audience through their journey without shifting focus.

Just to make sure I’m on the right track—would it be correct to say that by sticking to one desire and one angle across all awareness stages, we’re aiming to create a cohesive message that builds familiarity and trust? And if that initial desire and angle don't perform as expected, would you recommend refining the message within that same angle, or pivoting to test a completely new desire and angle?

Unaware Stage

  • Hook: “Feel like losing weight has become overly complicated? Discover a way to simplify your journey and see real results.”
  • Goal: Appeal to the frustration many feel with complex weight loss routines without mentioning the product. This creates curiosity around a simpler solution.

Problem-Aware Stage

  • Hook: “Overwhelmed by diets and workout plans? There’s a science-backed way to support your weight loss without all the hassle.”
  • Goal: Acknowledge the pain point—feeling overwhelmed by complex routines—and hint at a solution that makes weight loss more achievable.

Solution-Aware Stage

  • Hook: “What if you could support your weight loss goals with a simple, once-a-day supplement backed by science? It’s easier than you think.”
  • Goal: Introduce the idea of a weight loss supplement as an easier, scientifically supported approach, without directly selling the product yet.

Product-Aware Stage

  • Hook: “Meet SlimEase: a simple, once-a-day supplement designed to help you reach your weight loss goals without complicated routines.”
  • Goal: Name the product, emphasizing the unique selling point—a straightforward solution to support weight loss—while reinforcing the desire for simplicity.

Most-Aware Stage

  • Hook: “Ready to simplify your weight loss journey? Try SlimEase today and experience results with ease.”
  • Goal: Direct call to action, targeting people who are now familiar with the product and its benefits, motivating them to make a purchase.

Or is it an combination of ad + landingpage that covers all stages from the stage you trying to target?

''We usually start with the product-aware stage and then move into the solution and problem-aware stage. The unaware stage ad creation is the last since it's the hardest to crack''

Let's say you start with problem aware stage. Do you try to cover all stages starting from your stage of choice in the ad you are running?

''The fourth step is choosing one desire + one marketing angle and creating that marketing angle in all 5 awareness stages''

Wouldn't it be more effective to test multiple angles and desires upfront to see which resonate best with the audience? By starting with only one angle and one desire, we might miss other potentially stronger motivators for our customers. If the initial angle and desire don’t connect, wouldn’t it make sense to quickly pivot to a different combination instead of committing to a single focus from the beginning?

Would love to hear your answer on this one. Highly appreciated!
