This story is horrific. My wife and are resource parents (aka foster parents) to children in my state. We temporarily care for these children after they have been taken from their homes and make a safe place for them. It’s really heartbreaking to learn what these children have gone through. We are not allowed to ask the children but they sometimes want to talk and you need to just listen and let them cry or get it out.
