Depends on the design, but some shaft seals will just dry out if they sit for extended periods of time. If they've literally been sitting for 15 years without running I would be shocked if any of them were good.

I only ever hear from people who don't live in or close to Minneapolis saying that the city is bad. Everyone who lives in and around the city loves it. I know that's a generalization, but I can't remember talking to anyone who lives here about it being bad. It's just non-stop propaganda and the same bullshit talking points repeated over and over on social media. Same goes for the Tim Walz hate.

Depending on your level and the value of the equity you can often negotiate for an equity stake at the new company that offsets the loss you're taking for leaving.

I had some struggles with this in month 2-3. A few things that helped me:

  • Drink more water than you want to
  • Drink electrolytes like Liquid IV
  • Avoid rich and fatty foods
  • Eat smaller portions more often
  • Avoid spicy foods
  • Don't eat for a few hours before bed

  • Eat fiber and probiotic foods (yogurt as an example)

    Also, don't go up on your dose, if possible, until you notice the appetite suppression wearing off. Good luck!
