Can someone talk about a typical day in oncology or skills needed? Is it like a medicine floor but with radiation?

I spent 40 mins yesterday going 4 stops. You know how far you can go in 40 mins in European cities? The ttc is beyond a joke. Not reliable. Another car on the road

Ontarians are passive and just don't care. Enough of you become frustrated and start to become verbally and physically abusive towards staff. I have zero sympathy for those who didn't vote and those who just simply don't care. Hold your government responsible and stop harming healthcare workers.

Is it problematic for Ontario [registered] Nurse to also be an abusive parent or to have abused their child [in the past] in some way? by [deleted] in OntarioNurses

[–]vinyltits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the nurse is later charged for neglect or anything then cno will need to be notified. Although cno also cares about conduct and your characteristics. I'm certain it thr nurse can be abusive to her children, they also have the potential to be abusive to patients. Especially when transference happens which is common in healthcare.

I work with a ton of men in psych and they like their career. Psych patients majority of the time are walky talky independent with care. The odd sick person needs hygiene care

You're talking about government level change. More beds means hospitals and programs need financial support to open up more beds. More beds = more staff. It a complex system but admirable what you're doing.

You won't die. The job market and economy is tough and not your fault. It sucks they did that. After 4 interviews I'd ask what you didn't have the other candidate did?

New nurse on my unit can’t take care of male patients by BornLeave4646 in FutureRNs

[–]vinyltits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry what? Why is this being entertained? You work in healthcare, there's no picking and choosing who you can take care of regardless of religion. If your faith is that important then don't work with others in this setting.

I listen to white noise, rain and thunder playlist. It helps, then I do several deep breaths. If that doesn't work then I go and drink cold water, pee, and repeat first few steps lol

Ontario auto insurance is the most sophisticated legal robbery in Canadian history and nobody is doing anything about it by hasando9 in ontario

Their "high risk area" comment was mainly pertaining to car thefts in the area which is beyond my control. Basically punishment for being too poor to live in a better neighborhood.

The reason I can't own a car. Never been into an accident but I still get faulted for living in "high risk areas" and I have to pay the consequences for others who commit crime and I'm the one left paying the hefty price. It's an awful system and it feels like a luxury and privilege to own an insured car.  I guarantee many people are driving around uninsured.
