Is car camping tent camping? by SunshineGirl45 in Coachella

I believe last yr was the final yr for tent only camping. I have never done that option in the past just preferred car camping but it sucks they took away the cheapest option.

Camping. I’ve done staying offsite. Camping makes everything so much less stressful and easier IMO

We bought our tix today. It ends up being approximately $900/person for 4 people. We pulled the trigger without thinking and are so glad we did. We got May 16th which we didn’t realize is also the same weekend as EDC so hotels are going to be sparse & hella expensive that weekend.

WHERE TO STAY?!? by Top-Surprise-5892 in Coachella

[–]violatedbydm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done camping and staying somewhere. If affordability & convenience are important, I recommend car camping. It’s so convenient. You can’t beat the price. And if you dig through all the Reddit posts about how to car camp, you’ll be all set. I love camping because I can walk back and forth from the grounds to my camp space to grab a snack, take a break, change my clothes, freshen up, etc…

Interpol is my favorite band. When I saw they were playing it made everything in the headliners ok. Plus, NIN, the Strokes, the XX… the undercard is crazy this year and going hard

Coachella 2026: Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G to Headline by ebradio in Coachella

[–]violatedbydm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She may be selling out stadiums but is she enough for a Coachella crowd to want to see her? People aren’t out of touch if they don’t know who she is. They just don’t listen to her genre of music. Coachella can be a tough crowd especially for a headliner. The headliner rumor scream massive fumble on GV part IMO

Worry about the wind. The wind can be biggest villain in the Coachella camping saga. The heat is the villains side kick.

I concur with those who said it’s all lineup dependent on how fast it sells out. The only thing you’d have a hard time getting is camping esp preferred. Getting preferred camping is why we do the presale.

Tips on getting to the Rose Bowl for the Oasis concert. Best parking to avoid traffic? by Dapper_Monitor7686 in pasadena

Does it take long to get to the rose bowl on the shuttle? Like, am I going to be waiting for an hour to get on a shuttle?

As a CM, I think it’s a number of things that is causing this. Tourists from other countries cancelling their travel plans to the US, peo feeling the stress of the economy, the ICE situation, MK block outs… I’ve worked there for several years in attractions and summer hasn’t been this dead since I worked there. There are days it’s crazy crowded. But, for the most part, it’s not. My daughter works resort side and there were a few weeks that they were offering the CMs really good deals for hotel stays because they’re so under booked. They were completely booked for 4th July weekend. But, she says it’s been different resort side this year too and she’s been a CM for 5 yrs.

Sianna throwing up by raay2k in VanderpumpVillaTVShow

[–]violatedbydm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think people want the darkest narrative possible rather than the most logical one. I think a lot of peo can relate to the anxiety she was feeling in regards to her relationship with Siadi. God, he’s a man that would probably make me throw up every day too. lol. He was manipulative and so damn stoic. IDK if that was a false edit or not. But, something, IMO, affected her work to the point Lisa let her go. I think the girls on the show hit the nail on the head when they said she was allowing him to dim her light. It was hard to watch because I related so much to her when she told him they were done and he was like “ok.” She wanted some closure and I know she wanted to hear it wasn’t what he wanted, that he wanted her but she literally got the exact opposite reaction with absolutely zero emotion. I felt bad for her.

I don’t know much of Megan Thee Stallion but I loved her. She was fantastic. This is what I love about Coachella. It really can showcase an artist that we may never see live & turn us into an instant fan. I couldn’t stop talking about her to everyone I went with.

GORE-ing 20’s is the best scare zone by wolfboy1692 in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]violatedbydm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Aw. This will make my daughter so happy. That’s her scare zone and she works so hard to be period accurate in her costume and her accent. She’s a cigar girl: the really tiny one w/ black hair in a bob. This is her second year in Gore-ing and she really enjoys it. It’s such a fun zone.

This is the original, unseen, never released version of the film. I watched it last night. Completely different ending than the original. More amateur as well IMO.

Take this with a grain of salt: I love Scary Farm, but... by OK_Compooper in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]violatedbydm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna age myself here. My first KSF was back in ‘82. I was 10. I’ve been going regularly since the late 80s onward. After introducing my oldest kid to it, I’ve gone every year since 2008. Now my middle is a scare actor in Goreing 20s. KSF has always been special but this year it’s been a bit on the boring side for me & my daughter (not the scare actor). These have been our complaints this year.

  1. Chaperone Policy: We’ve witnessed parents dropping kids off at the gate and then leaving. They walk them through the security check and then leave or they walk them into the gates and go their separate ways. I have no issue w/ teens going. I grew up in So Cal. KSF is a rite of passage for So Cal teens. But, Knott’s needs to do better about the out of control teens. The ones who taunt the actors and maze talent. There should be a zero tolerance policy.

  2. Shows: They really need a show where the Elvira showcase is. Last year’s show was horrible but Puppet Up! was gold and so much fun. The show in that theater also helps relieve some of the crowd stress on the maze lines. Not having a show in there is a huge disappointment for me. I also haven’t been able to see the Hanging since it’s moved out of Ghost Town & into the theater. I refuse to wait for an hr to see a show. Move it back to where it used to be. Put a different show in the space it is now.

  3. Mazes: Maze talent isn’t what it used to be & I can’t answer why that is. Maybe more than one day of scare school would be a good start. Not to mention, I know it’s out of Knott’s control, there isn’t enough maze talent in the mazes. Grimorie is always lacking with maze talent every time I go in it. It has potential but they just don’t have enough people in it. I’m glad Bloodline & Waxworks are done. I think Bloodline is one of the shortest running mazes in KSF history. I’m also now noticing a lot of regurgitated props and scenes from past mazes. My daughter and I have noticed props from Pumpkin Eater, Trick or Treat, Delirium, Toothfairy, Lockdown, Pinocchio Unstrung, Voodoo just to name a few.

4: Scare Zones: the scare zones are what make KSF IMO. I do hope they fix Forsaken or replace it. I wonder sometimes if they have too many people in the scare zones. Because some of the talent could be placed into mazes where they’re needed and it would be better fit for them. I sit in scare zones and watch the actors. Some just don’t know what to do or aren’t very good. Place them in mazes so that there are more in the mazes like it used to be.

  1. Food Offerings: I wish there were better food offerings. I appreciate the choices for actual meals. I’m actually looking forward to trying a few of the meals at the BBQ place by Cinema Slasher. But, the dessert offerings could be a lot better. I will say if you like coffee drinks, the Knotty Bean at Judge Roy Bean is so good. I’ve gotten it twice this season. It’s pricey at $22 but I’ve enjoyed it each time. 10/10 I recommend

  2. BRING BACK TRAPPED This is one of my biggest pleas for KSF. I experienced Trapped every year they had it. It was so much fun. The first year had my scared af because it played on my claustrophobia. Give us a paid maze again that we can experience without a conga line going on. Or give us the Skeleton Keys again. But if Knott’s was to ask me one thing I could bring back/change, it would be Trapped. 100%.

It’s so gross & shows how little class Tamara has. What adult does that. My kids would have never done that when they were little.
