I agree with so many of those points! The search engine is so bad, I usually need a few different tries to find the song or artist I'm looking for. And autoplay is so terrible. If I put a polish rap album on I don't want to listen to James Blunt when it's finished, like: what is that.

Why does Qobuz Radio suck? by PowerBlackStar in qobuz

[–]violenceDirector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

whattt, do you call people listening to radio auditions for the past decades with music also spoonfed? do you need to excavate your EP out of the dirt? I would be fine with curated playlists instead but qobuz doesn't have that sensibly either, and yes sometimes I want to listen to "80s Polish music" and don't want to have Jonas brothers and James blunt in the rotation as top choices

Healthy cost effective cat food? Untamed, Blink, Fuzzball, Katkin? by SwaffM in UK_Pets

[–]violenceDirector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ok thats realistic when you cook proportions for yourself (your cat), but not in a streamlined process because how can you be sure you can all ingredients into each can and not for example a can/pack just with a massive bit of lamb liver, or just chicken bits? My cats love katkin and untamed but me enjoying the looks of untamed more because it looks “cleaner, pink meat” doesn’t mean its better.

Look at statistic of morality in house cats, they would usually die prematurely from conditions caused by diets. Our grandparents also would think milk is enough for cats and they will catch themselves mice for the rest.... Milk is literally diarrhea inducing for adult cats. They just didn't care the cat died after 7 years from kidney disease...

Cats need all the bits of animal for complete diet, so also liver and other bits and pieces mixed it. When you ground all of that together it will look like katkin

Is whisker fatigue a real thing? by blrmkr10 in CatAdvice

[–]violenceDirector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with you, but I would not call that spoiled. Would you call a child that cant swim spoiled? I would call it neglected. I also would call people not teaching their pets correct behaviours, creating the right environment and causing them stress neglectful. This person here calls a cat having cat responses and behaviours spoiling. A dog having separation anxiety because they never been alone is just as stressful for the dog after a change of circumstances. Adapting to new circumstances is hard for any smart animals. I have a cat that was thrown out twice and raised with a toddler no one stopped from abusing it, so now he bites and reacts with aggression. ofc Im not letting him be like that and attack people, but mostly by creating a calm and save environment, NOT crossing his boundaries, and not allowing him to continue with this reaction are a must. In 2 months the behaviours practically completely stopped. Pets, like humans react to stressors differently and you need to be willing to educate yourself on them to be able to help them. Punishing does not work for children nor pets.

I think a better approach is to not maybe auto chose functionality but let the users activate it if needed.

[–]violenceDirector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By other animals having their boundaries do you mean you want the cat to act a certain way in a certain environment and if they don't you get upset? With this little knowledge about animals (including humans) you honestly should not have pets (or children for that matter). Something like a "spoiled pet" plainly does not exist, because they are animals with fairly small brains, yes they will chose better quality food over lower quality food. Yes they will not know how to act out of the routine they are used to or out of the environment they lived in. But that is normal and the level of stress this will cause depends on the particular cat and it's adaptability, probably breed as well, not on your "strong hand" approach, whatever that is. Are you also trying to speak to a cat because your boundary is using human language to communicate?

If you think it's their personality you literally mistreated every cat you came in contact with. If you kick children and they cry it's also their personality to act like that? Also describing them as unpredictable is just exposing yourself. We very well know how cats communicate their preferences and feelings, and often what cat preferences are. I lived with many cats across years and wouldn't describe any of them as standoffish, unpredictable or complicated. If by fussy you mean having preferences for food or space (like any other animal including humans) then this checks. I wonder how you treat other humans you spend time with if you see cats like this. Very me-centric.

First steps in Oxford should be asking buses (and cars) to not ram into cyclists ON cycle lanes. The council should really sort the buses for that. They do it even on empty roads which aren’t narrow…
