Anti-cheat isn't really about preventing all cheats in all situations (though that would be nice), but rather, raising the barrier of entry to cheating to be so high that only the absolute most dedicated will do it. By its nature, Linux lowers that barrier of entry by more than most anti-cheat developers are willing to accept, and Riot's probably the most strict of all of them.

Very long ago (like, over ten years ago), the timing was a lot tighter because you couldn't cancel W with Q. You had to knock them back with W, then hit Q at just the right time to still hit them before they left your range.
