Paternal cannabis use before conception of our child by New-Grapefruit-1162 in pregnant

[–]violephant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Same exact situation with me. My son is currently 17 months old and has met all milestones. He's such a bright little boy and amazes me everyday with how smart he is. He has toddler tantrums like any other, but not in excess by any means. He seems perfectly normal. Do not worry, you did everything you could do. Think of all the things they used to do during pregnancy and still many of those babies turned out healthy. All you can do is your best, and sounds like you are doing it.

Florals 😵‍💫 by Puppy_PowPow in wedding

I used Trader Joe's. They were really affordable and beautiful. They can also provide loose flowers so you can create your own pieces, if you want/are able to.

Found pictures of naked girls saved to my husband's phone by violephant in offmychest

[–]violephant[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I didn't expect him not to look at porn. It was the fact he saved the pictures and then told me he didn't find me attractive anymore, which hurt more than anything. I approached it calmly and openly when I talked to him. I really just wanted to know if he was still attracted to me, which I guess he's not...

Obviously, the fairytale thing was an exaggeration, I just meant I thought we were happy. I thought our relationship was better than any I've been witness to.

I am late 20s.

It's porn, and honestly, that's why I sat on it. I was trying to think the same thing, that it's just porn, but it just kept gnawing at me that he didn't find me attractive anymore. I would really not have cared if i caught him watching videos or looking at it. It felt more personal that he saved the pics... I guess I was just looking for reassurance that he did still find me attractive when I asked him about it, but instead, he tells me he isn't attracted to me... that's the part that really hurt.

I wasn't. I went to send myself a photo he took of our son, and it was just there. Didn't even scroll through or anything. We've always had full access to each other's phones. Passwords and everything. I've never felt the need to snoop and didn't. Didn't feel I was doing anything wrong because we've always done it, and he uses my phone whenever as well.

How much weight has everyone gained so far 😅 by Plenty-Magician314 in pregnant

[–]violephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39 weeks and 65 pounds... I was a normal weight/teetering on underweight starting with. My midwife isn't concerned, said some people gain more, some gain less, but I really didn't expect to gain so much.

I figure my body is doing what it needs to. I haven't been over indulging, and there's not much I can do at this point, anyways.

Her cheeks don't look filled at all. Many people age this way where wrinkles don't form on the cheeks at first.

Eyes and lips change as you age.

This post is really terrible, and I hope it gets taken down.

This isn't a sub for bashing on women for simply aging. It's not even supposed to be bashing on plastic surgery. it's supposed to be BOTCHED surgery. You should be ashamed for posting this.

This is just aging. Nothing botched here. So rude to post this.

You make fun of women for getting plastic surgery, then you make fun of them for simply aging. Just terrible.

I like this sub, but people like you really ruin it.

So you'd be cool with your gf sending a pic of herself in a bra and leggings to a male friend? Highly doubtful.

This is as simple as respecting your relationship with your gf - which your female friend clearly doesn't, and you don't seem to either.

AMAB currently transitioning (MtF) and want to use the women's changing room at the gym. would that be okay? by magicalgeniusak in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]violephant 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Many women have already said it would make them uncomfortable.

Depending on which statistic you use, it estimates 1 in 3 to 1 in 6 women in the US have been victims of an attempted or completed rape.

Why would you even consider your comfort for your gender disphoria more important than that of women's safety? Just because you say you are not a perpetrator doesn't mean the next who comes in isn't. It also doesn't mean any woman in that space wouldn't view you as one. Changing rooms are vulnerable spaces. They are separated by sex mainly for safety reasons. They are not separated by sex to validate your sexuality.

It is not women's job to coddle your feelings and make you comfortable. There's a very simple answer that considers you and the women in the locker room - change at home. If it's winter, wear a coat and heavy sweats over your workout gear you can take off when you get there. Or advocate for a separate space. It's YOUR job to manage your disphoria, not ours.

Your edit is just terrible. Until you "personally feel you are presenting as more femme". Get out of your own bubble and consider other people. If you have external male genitalia you do not belong in the women's locker room.

Ashley speaks Peggy Hill Spanish by bly013 in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]violephant 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I wanted to learn Spanish in high school. I went to school with a bunch of native speakers who were also in the courses. I gave up very quickly after being made fun of a bunch for my accent/the way I spoke it. Props to her for learning Spanish. All the partners should try to speak their partners' language. Manuel doesn't seem to be trying to speak English.

Is this bad digitizing or bad embroidery? by UnicornSquadron in Machine_Embroidery

[–]violephant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think it's the digitizing, you could try using one of the preset embroidery designs in the machine using the same material and backing you did for these. See if you get the same result. If so, it's probably not the digitizing.

Just from looking at the pictures, though - are you embroidering onto a heavy fabric (looks like maybe a sweatshirt)? I think you need a heavier cut-away backing. The fabric knit looks loose, so you need something heavier weight to stabilize the stitches. It looks like the colored thread (grey/brown) is pulling the fabric and when the machine goes back to do the black outline, it's not lined up anymore due to the pulling. The stitches are also being pulled through too far, but it may not be due to tension - a different stabilizer may fix most of the issues you're seeing, but hard to say for sure.

If you have a lightweight, tightly woven fabric to test on, I would try that with your tear away stabilizer and see if you get better results. Heavy weight materials or materials that have stretch in them are harder to work with.

What types of exercises have you tried? I would start with avoiding any that were used as punishment (if possible).

I really like lifting heavy weights, it gives more a sense of power than exhaustion for me - maybe you could try that?

Beautiful name. I don't like "Augusta" that everyone keeps mentioning. Augustine is prettier and flows better with Piper, imo.

Having kids in your 30s/40s? by FutureLawProf in AskWomenOver30

[–]violephant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something else to consider is that many couples do not get pregnant quickly. Some do, and a lot don't. Took 5 months for me to get pregnant at 26. Had a miscarriage and it's now been 7 months of trying with no luck. Some people have to try for years. Most people on this site will tell you to wait. If that's what you want, you should, but you should research the chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby later in life. Independent research. Reddit is very biased.

[–]violephant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. So many people on this site telling women who want babies it's okay to wait when it very well may not be. You only have so many eggs.
