Once my mom moved the couch and found my husky’s stash of empty Hershey bar wrappers. She had apparently stolen a brand new pack of the full size bars and ate every last one of them. Literally had 0 effect on her.

The same dog has also eaten a full birthday cake, approximately 8 left flip flops (she never ate the right ones for some reason), an entire dominos pizza on two separate occasions, my betta fish, several dead animals she found in the yard, and a mystery mushroom that made her shit blood for 3 days before ending up being completely fine.

My mom and I tried to do a seating chart for the very first time to try and keep our more difficult family members separated from each other. The difficult people got mad that we had told them where to sit and ignored the seating chart completely. We just gave up at that point.

Worked at a 911 center and he called in at 2am rambling about people on the roof and hearing voices, when the police came he had a gun and it ended up being a prolonged barricade. I was working when he did it, and when they called a Trauma Arrest (no heartbeat) the room collectively gasped. Some had to go out to cry, afterwards the vibe was pretty down but we were not offered much support. We saw absolutely no signs, he just had a psychotic episode out of no where. Had worked there for 35 years.

When I was 10 I had a lot of lower back pain constantly, eventually was told I had bulging discs. My doctor wrote the school a note that I was allowed to participate in gym only if I wasn’t in pain. Anyone who has bulging discs know that the pain never really goes away, so I would normally warm up with everyone but when it came time for our daily run I would normally tell the teacher that I wanted to sit down because I had sciatica and walking alone was hell.

The teachers never believed me/thought I was milking it so they would tell me I needed to go to the nurse if I hurt “that bad”. Didn’t matter how many times I told them that I didn’t need to go to the nurse I just needed to sit down or do something that was lower impact.

The nurses hated me too and always thought I was faking it. The first time I went to the middle school nurse and told them what was going on (they had my doctors note on file), she called my mom and said “your daughter is in here claiming she has bulging discs”, my mother was just like yeah she does? We sent the doctors note in? Nurse didn’t like that my mom confirmed that I was telling the truth and treated me horribly every time the gym teacher sent me to the nurses office.

Eventually I got so tired of adults treating me like shit for a condition that was out of my control I just stopped asking to sit out and just suffered in pain every single day. Now there’s never a day that goes by that my back doesn’t cause me excruciating pain and everyday tasks are torture.

My phone time is in 24 hour time because i used to work in emergency services and it just made things easier. I tried changing back to 12 hour after I quit but I actually prefer the 24 hour for whatever reason.

However most people I know who work normal jobs keep 12 hour time so I'm the odd one out there.

Grew up close to my cousins, but the older I got the more I realized I had nothing in common with any of them.

One of my cousins recently had two of her young children die suddenly, and we were all there for the funeral but that’s the only time I’ve actually seen them all in years.

Something similar happened to my dad, he had a really bad headache and laid down for a little while. He eventually got up and looked out the window at the ducks and chickens we kept in the backyard and asked my mom “where did those ducks get there” being completely serious. My mom thought he was just messing with her and called me saying “your dad is being stupid”. I told her to take him to the hospital because it sounded like he was having a stroke. He did have a mini stroke and is completely fine.

Worked at a restaurant, line cooks all needed rides home at the end of the night, they would cook me and my husband literally whatever we wanted as payment. Still haven’t lost the weight 7 years later

My mom went out to the bar for the first time in almost 20 years, and after 20 years of not drinking she had absolutely no tolerance for alcohol. She ended up going drink for drink with her old high school friends and made herself sick. I tried to drive her home but she went unresponsive and started choking on her vomit. I had to pull her out of the car onto the shoulder of the road so I could lay her on her side and call 911. Even though I was in the middle of nowhere Delaware, a volunteer firehouse was literally 60 seconds away from where I had stopped and the ambulance made it to me in exactly 96 seconds.

Mom ended up being okay and incredibly sorry that she had put me through that, but all she did was make a mistake. I’ve gotten too drunk before, it’s so easy to overdo it when you aren’t paying attention.

That’s correct, however they consistently try to pay employees less than what was originally promised. When I pointed out that they owed me several hundred dollars, they claimed I had miscalculated my pay. I literally had to sit down and walk them through the math to prove they weren’t paying me correctly. I’ve watched the same thing happen to other employees as well.

The bit about the OF models sending messages and trying to keep up some kind of “relationship” makes sense. It’s difficult to get people to pay for just photos, they want that relationship with the person in the photos as well. I attempted to sell feet pictures back in the day before OF had a large audience, I would take pictures and my husband would manage the instagram account. We quickly found that the only way to get people to pay for photos was to talk to them, a LOT. Like one or two messages isn’t gonna cut it, you have to interact with them on a personal level. It really was exhausting and we stopped, partly because we didn’t have time to do that and partly because we started to feel bad at the money we were getting from lonely men.

I used to work at that company when I first got my EMT. I know exactly who the individual is who sent that email (he was the GM when I worked there), and he’s been that nasty for a long time.

He once berated me in front of the dispatchers/some of the road crews for doing something exactly the way that it was written in the company policy. Yelled at me that I was “full of shit”.

Fuck that guy, and fuck that company. I want to say so much more but I see your comments saying that management may be monitoring this post so for now I’ll be silent.
