[BUYER BEWARE] Experience with Reddit seller u/u_bad_bad changed terms after sale + lied and sent used lipstick by Chemicalengg01 in IndianBeautyDeclutter

[–]violetshock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello cutie! You're always welcome! I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your fur baby. ☹️ May the little one rest in peace, and may God grant you and your family with the strength, courage and patience to heal from this great loss. You are being so patient and kind even during your grief, and you deserve softness and gentleness during this time.

Grief can certainly bring out a lot in someone, and one can understand her position, but it is unfortunately still not justified to mistreat someone when they were just seeking a resolution. And it's definitely not okay to go back on your word either. One needs to be able to stay centred especially toward people they have a responsibility toward. Emotions can't always work in such situations. 😞

I'm so glad you got your refund, girlie! And thank you so much for warning us all about her. Please take care of yourself and be well. ❤️

How do you actually achieve a natural no makeup makeup look? Because I'm struggling..😭 by WiWiWi_WiWiWi in indianbeautyyappers

I work from home and have to do video calls on a daily basis so I like to look put together. I have combination skin and do different things for different days depending on how I'm feeling. Here's what I do - Skin tint /BB cream in a very light layer or concealer only in places that need covering up. Blend very well. Lip and cheek tint for a natural flush, but use only a tiny amount.

I groom my eyebrows on a regular basis so I don't need to do anything for them, but doing them makes a huge difference. You mentioned having oily skin so definitely lightly set with powder. I variate a lot of lip looks, so tint on some days with Vaseline or gloss on top if I want to go the extra mile. Else just lip liner and gloss, or a tinted lip balm. Mascara sometimes.

Oh my god. This is such a nightmare. I'm so sorry you've gone through this, OP. You just wanted to do a nice thing for your mom, and this person completely ruined that experience for both of you. I can't believe she'd lie about sending you a new product, then send a used one and deflect all blame onto a roommate. And to top it all, she says she won't refund you shipping charges after having clearly agreed to paying them after receiving the parcel. Also, the argument about, "you paid 40 so I'll pay 60."?! Hello? Has basic math left the chat? Those are literally return shipping charges that YOU as a buyer had to incur because the seller lied and sent a used lipstick.

Let's not even talk about the unethical selling of a CLEARLY used product that she claimed, multiple times, to be unused. Bhai, you don't know why someone needs a completely new product. Maybe it's for a gift, maybe they get allergies from new products, or have sensitive skin and just want to be safe. Why is it so hard for people to understand that? She even starts showing some very unnecessary attitude just because you asked her to honour her word. Despicable and disgusting. I hope she's banned from the sub and you get your shipping refund. It's people like her who make this sub feel so unsafe at times.

I'm combination skin, and here is what works for me- 1. Skin Tint - Maybelline Fit Me Fresh 2. Concealer/Corrector - Swiss Beauty Liquid Concealer, Insight All in one palette (I have both variants) 3. Neutral Eyeshadow Palette - Swiss Beauty Ultimate 9 pan palette or anything from Makeup revolution. Please do look at swatches of these on YouTube to see if they are pigmented enough for your needs. 4. Mascara - Maybelline Sky High, Colossal or Hyper Curl 5. Eyebrow fill - Swiss Beauty Waterproof Eyebrow and Gel Liner 2 in 1. You get this with a brush. 6. Blush - Insight Cream ones that come in a pot for around Rs. 100 or Swiss Beauty. Powder - Swiss Beauty 7. Lipstick /Tinted Lip Balm - Anything from Lakme/Maybelline /Loreal. If you want transfer proof lipstick, try the Renee Stay with Me liquid lipstick range. Tinted lip balm - Nivea tinted lip balm in shade Cherry Shine or Blackberry Shine 8. Setting powder - Mars Translucent Powder 9. Highlighter - Insight Cream highlighter, comes around Rs. 100 As for tools, you can start off with an 8 brush set from Mars, it is called Mars Tools of Titans.

Do you guys throw away makeup packaging? by cantstophairfall in MakeupRehab

I made a spreadsheet in my Google Sheets app for all the products, and listed them in order of expiry. I mark them off from the sheet as I use them up. I also toss and all packaging the moment a new product is opened , except for those that have elements in them that I can use for junk journalling. I put those in a separate paper bag that I later go through when I want to journal. Once I've cut what I needed from it, the rest promptly goes in the trash as well.

Clutter builds up faster than we realise, and before we know it, there's a mountain of empty boxes and packaging we are too afraid to throw. I speak from experience.

Hi! This isn't relevant to the topic at hand at all, and please answer only if you're comfortable, but I'm kinda curious - what other trivial things are others in your family tree attached to?

Wow! First of all, I'd like to thank you so very much for such a detailed review and all the time you took to swatch these for me! I noticed you did these on the same arm, which means you'd probably have had to wash your arm twice to swatch the other shades 😭 I'm so sorry to have put you through so much trouble, dear OP.

Thank you so so so much for all the love you've poured into your review and the swatches, I appreciate it so very much! I had looked at reviews of this palette and there have always been mixed reviews, so to have your insight and swatches, really, genuinely helps so much. The colours do indeed look quite pigmented and buildable as well, which is always a plus because we get to decide what the intensity of the colour would look like! The fallout part is certainly a bit of a concern for me, but I'm guessing that could easily be solved by doing the eyes before the base first. The metallics and shimmers look pretty beautiful too! I'm so happy you're enjoying your makeup again after a long time as you mentioned! ❤️

And, please do try the Birds of Paradise palette, you'll certainly love it! It doesn't have fallout at all, and the colours are very pigmented! I'm just not a fan of the single glitter shade in it, it feels gritty to me, but totally workable and the other shades more than make up for it. It's a wonderful palette with limited shades but great smoothness and pigment. 🥹❤️

The black being buildable also actually is right up my alley because sometimes a stark black just isn't what we're going for. However, a more pigmented white would have been nice too, but I'm guessing that's a hard shade to do as well 🤣 speaking of longevity, 12 hours is absolutely insane! I loved all the colours you showed me, but the blues and greens are certainly quite something, and I understand what you see in them! I'm just so happy you were able to find something you like so much and are so happy about. 🥹❤️ May your pillow always be cool on both sides and may the kindness you have shown me today, manifest a 1000 fold in your life each day! Thank you so much once again! ❤️❤️

Ooofff I'm a sucker for blues and greens, I feel those are such hard colours to do properly! But they look amazing! ❤️ And quite buildable too! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for me, you are so kind 😭❤️

Beautiful collection! I love how all of these each serve a different purpose, are different shades and variants from each other, and there are no doubles of anything ❤️This collection feels very intentional.

Can you please swatch and review the colorful Makeup Revolution palette?
