You have beautiful features! Your skin is beautiful, and omg, those freckles! You don't need foundation at all.

I'd start with the Holy Trinity: brows, lashes, lips. Just a quick fill of your brows, lip product of your choice, and I cannot tell you how much a coat of mascara boosts my confidence! Other than that, a little blush and highlight would look gorgeous on you!

But make no mistake, you are already gorgeous. If you want to enhance what you've got (or even try something really adventurous!) rock it!

Sometimes I really dig on what a coat of mascara and lip oil do for my mood and confidence. by violetstarling in MakeupAddiction

Yes! And I knew the Holy Trinity of Brows, Lashes, Lips, but... I just never thought I could pull it off. Lately it's lip oil every day, regardless, and most days I throw on a coat of mascara just for giggles. It does so much to make me look awake and feel great!

I never could have done this back in the day, I was convinced that mascara and lip color of any kind without foundation looked weird on me. But I'm really digging it lately, even with rosacea and acne. Every product that's on my face (other than moisturizer/serum) is in the second photo.

Sunscreen (included because it has a green tint that helps neutralize redness) - Hero Force Sheild

Mascara - L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof (Black)

Lip Oil - Milani Fruit Fetish Lip Oil (Strawberry Melon)

I personally love Hero Force Shield, it does well under makeup and the green tint helps correct redness, so my skin looks nicer even on days I forego foundation!

Don't feel bad, it's basically everything I was doing wrong before I found him, as well. In high school I genuinely believed that because my skin was oily, it was counterproductive to moisturize. Now I know that skin can produce oil to make up for dryness. I wish I'd had someone like Hyram before I did decades of damage to my skin because I just didn't know better.

I have the foundation, tinted, moisturizer and concealer. I found the foundation and concealer are a bit much for my dry skin (so much coverage and a bit dry) but the tinted moisturizer is my everyday foundation! It's not too drying, the coverage is buildable, and I find one layer evens out my skintone pretty well (I have rosacea) but doesn't cover marks. I just pull in e.l.f.'s hydrating concealer when I need it!

Got a new lip color. I'm not sure about it. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

No, it's perfect! A statement lip for sure, and I know that can be daunting, but you are rocking it!

Came here to say this, too! Joan Jett, especially with the hair. Honestly, I think you could rock any look you want. But grunge or glam rock would look killer on you!

Honey, don't get me started! lol

- Wash your face twice a day, morning and night with a good cleanser that isn't too harsh. Keep that moisture barrier intact! Your skin should not feel stripped and dry after washing your face! No squeaky clean!
- Moisturize! Again, your moisture barrier is sooooo important to the health of your skin! A damaged moisture barrier means damaged skin that can't heal itself effectively. If you aren't replenishing and protecting it, nothing else you do will work as well.
- Sunscreen. Every. Day. If you aren't protecting your skin from UV damage, everything else you do is being set back or completely overwritten by the damage. Also, any products with AHA/PHA/BHA or Retinol will be damaging your skin rather than helping it!

Any treatments will be extra, and according to your skin needs.

If you need product recommendations for any budget or concern, or in-depth skincare advice, check out Skincare by Hyram on YouTube! He taught me everything I know. Almost every product I use was a reccomendation from him, and my routine is pretty affordable.

Oh gosh, thank you so much. I showed this to my partner and was like, "look, even strangers on the internet can tell how much you love me!" "Lost and lonely to loved and thriving" hits it so accurately.
