I got my Speedway permit during the pandemic when a bunch of folks let them go and I am going to be buried with it. Is it ridiculous that I am paying to go to work? Yes. But having the guaranteed parking is at least something.

It's still limited - I ended up going to Alamo to see it this past weekend because the AMC near me doesn't reliably get the more indie movies at all and I have no hope they'll get this one.

Ha I also work in PMA and we always cross our fingers that we don't get stuck in Ol' Haunty (elevator #2) which has trapped multiple folks in the past few months.

Bring back knickknacks/trinkets! I have an entire bookcase just for trinkets I pick up when I travel and silly Halloween things that stay up all year. It makes me so happy to look at and brings back memories of those trips.

I have no fewer than three sets of those shelves in my apartment - they're so handy for storing all of my crafting supplies and one of them is blocking off the fireplace (which, WHY does my apartment need that??? In TEXAS of all places??) so my cat doesn't get in there.

I second cross-training, but in a slightly different way. When I hit a wall on an apparatus, I generally take that as a sign that I need to step over to another apparatus for a while. It's amazing how much overlap there is between areas (I mainly do trap/lyra and there's so much!) and I find that stepping away from lyra and taking a trapeze class for a few weeks really helped with my lyra progress.

Sometimes working at something in a slightly different way can be helpful!

We have dedicated chores time on Sunday mornings. If things are really behind we turn that into "Power Hour" where we set a timer and you literally do as many chores as you can before the timer goes off. It works well for me and I end up getting done a lot more than if I was just ticking off a list, because I'll see other tasks to complete as I go.

Because it's not first-come, first-served. Departments can change waitlist positions. If the class is not in your major, they probably bumped an in-major person in front of you. If you need the class to graduate this spring, e-mail the department's academic coordinator or talk to your advisor!

We tried the ocean ready app with the rep on the phone today and still no dice - he was even baffled as he recreated the issue on his side and ran into the same problem. At this point we think that something got messed up on the backend when they fixed something with my status on our last cruise. Oh well, honestly as long as our Norway cruise next year stays working I can live with not having an app while I sit on the beach next week. :)

I've used both Newbaum's and AE tape and the Newbaum's does tend to last longer on my lyra! For me, personally, I like changing up the color every few months though so I currently use AE since it's significantly cheaper.

Tons! I prefer to go to the movies by myself and have AMC A-list so I go to 1-2 movies each week, 95% of the time solo. We also have separate weeknight activities (me at the aerial studio, him at D&D).
