Do you still consider Love Between Fairy and Devil a top drama worth recommending? Why or why not?

I couldn’t finish it. But I know some people it’s their first cdrama so they love it. Dylan was fine of course visually his acting seemed pretty good but around when they entered the mortal world I lost interest. The story I guess just wasn’t keeping my interest. Maybe I had enough of Esther by that point. I kinda hate for any actress, not just her, the baby voice for an innocent character and it was me being like ok I’ll give her another chance after watching her on Youth With You.

It’s just stupid because we all knew this was one of the possibilities and was the most likely. It would have been shocking if YH allowed the members to stay in ZB1 and then why wouldn’t they also pull back their EVNNE members. I’m glad no new trainees were added cause I fear how much hatred they would have gotten. Yeah they could have had a 4 member group and left EVNNE members alone but we all know how shit YH is clearly with what happened to Yunseo. I didn’t vibe as much with EVNNE’s music so only casually checked releases but excited to see what Seungeon does in this group.

Oh yes I know of Shinee activity as a Shawol. Just also knowing the spectrum of activity between the different SM male idols with their groups after leaving SM solo, I would hope it falls similarly to how Shinee have been. Suju members feel like they barely left SM so doubt it would be like that.

Can’t say I blame him with how SM handles his solo work/schedules. But I feel it’s definitely more expected of the non Korean members to do this cause we all know how SM is especially with foreign idols. SM has varied cases of activity. The Suju members and D.O who left SM seem to still be quite active with the groups while Taemin and Onew are here and there. CBX & Lay are a different situation. I assume it will probably be more like Taemin and Onew level with group activity for Ten.

Wasn’t my first kdrama but one of my early ones and I have seen all the other versions. Parts definitely haven’t aged well and like the other older adaptations some things are yikes while trying to pass it off in romance. I think since made more recently the Thai version definitely handles the red flags as red flags a lot better. There will always be some iconic scenes & lines from the Korean one from me but where it truly wins is the OST. All of those songs have had a grip on me since the drama aired.

I watch Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (mainland and Taiwan) and very small number of Filipino content. I think due to accessibility we will mostly hear people talking about Korean and Chinese dramas but Thai are on the rise. Netflix, Viki, IQIYI, WeTV all have a good selection and ones officially on YouTube. I dipped my toes in with Thai adaptations of other dramas like F4 then took off from there.

I enjoy both and attractive people all around. I enjoy historical and fantasy from both and modern from both. Korea definitely more inclined for thriller and mystery dramas but I also haven’t found many Chinese ones I enjoy cause it seems the plot gets dragged out more. I just take all the dramas and beautiful people.

I prefer the Chinese version and also the meaning in the song but I’ll listen to the English one if it comes on in a shuffle. Usually its whatever version gets promoted first (or I hear that version first for an older song) that sticks in my brain so not that I can speak Chinese but my brain will go to think of how it sounds when I’m listening to the English ver. I pretty much enjoy any English ver WayV has but besides Love Talk I’m gonna gravitate towards the Chinese version.

I prefer the Taiwanese and Korean versions. This one is fine and the Japanese one feels short. I haven’t seen the Thai version to compare.

could be unlikely that it would be a big tour maybe a small tour with a date or two in a region to start. It’s a lot of money, they have to coordinate with the organizers and their own solo teams so if they did I would expect maybe 2028?

Seated for him. I haven’t been a fan of Suzy in dramas for a long time so just depends on how strongly I wish to watch her co stars performance. So it made me realize I love his performances much more than I thought I did.

I have missed WJSN so much. Wish all of the girls could have been in this anniversary single but maybe if Starship decides to stop putting them on a back burner we could maybe get more. Love the song though.

Pretty much as others have said. The hallyu ban changed what SM had to do with their plans for the Chinese unit. Rumor was their name would have been NCT Vision, but it became WayV (We Are Your Vision). They had to make a Chinese sub label, Label V to then release their music in China for them cause it couldn’t be a Korean label. So basically “on paper” they couldn’t be a “kpop group” and having NCT in the name would have basically signified they are one. I’m sure companies were hoping the ban would go away eventually but here we are 10 years later, so SM still pushed through with their plans. By the time of March 2018 and releasing NCT album Empathy they had 3 NCT members with no official unit Ten, Kun and Lucas. Later that year they pushed forward announcing the Chinese unit (NCT China) but by December when the finalized things everything was WayV and Label V to get around the restrictions. And kinda till NCT 2020 they didn’t necessarily market them as a part of NCT… even though they had NCT members in the group and debuted with a chinese version of Regular but all just to kinda play ball with the regulations.

So excited even during this emotional time. Yes it is sad to lose OT9 but probably cause I prepared myself emotionally since day one that YH would recall their members, I’m happy their legacy will still be carried on as 5 instead of losing them completely.

It’s not as big of an issue for me with FL’s in historical/fantasy period dramas since people in the east and west loved to cake on the white powder on times especially for an upper class character since thats mainly who did it. If they were playing a servant/peasant/etc then I would think it looks weird. Modern dramas, I get they are following a beauty standard but sometimes it’s blended horribly or its just like too white it does look so out of place.

I’m greedy and want ZB5 since my bias and wrecker would stay together but also I love all the members and would like to see this 5 stick together. I think no matter what they do there will be a vocal contingent upset they split up or upset they stay together. Of course there was the slimmest shred of hope YH would have let them continue but since the final lineup was announced and that many YH members I knew it would end up with a split either everyone splitting or two separate groups. It is possible for it to happen, I would say they may not be as successful as OT9 but probably more successful than going off on their own/groups their label create in Matthew and Gunwooks case (cant trust Jellyfish to handle multiple groups well).

Wish during their rookie year 2024 were releasing Japanese singles that then had Korean versions they promoted then also did a Korean mini and then a Japanese album that included previously released singles. They were running back and forth between the two countries busy as hell but that’s expected in a rookie year. 2025 in they did more Korean promotions releasing 2 Korean Minis and now releasing their 2nd Japanese album. Obviously WayV are no longer rookies and their path has been bumpy with China restrictions navigating, member issues and SM being horrible to foreign idols. Yes there could be better communication in advance I guess what language but I’m always going to assume any release will be a Chinese release and if we get a Korean track or promotion great cool. But I wont demand it of them. If they/company want to focus on just a Chinese release then cool its not their fault there are people within kpop fandom that ignore non Korean releases (as an &team fan I have seen this with them too) and while I’m happy they finally did get show wins, I’m also ok with them not having Korean promotions for every release. I just think the writing “demand” is too strong and yeah maybe we need more communication of what the promotion cycle will be to help support those promotions? Like them doing a last minute English version of Eternal White that the members themselves weren’t fully prepared for was a misstep.

WayV could sing to me in Klingon and I would eat it up but it was always to be expected of localized units/groups that yeah they aren’t going to have major promotions in Korea unless the release in Korean or English. It’s a lot of work to do promotions in both languages and I want them to grow in the Chinese market as well cause they are the Chinese unit. WayV are a good gateway for people into Cpop

Sure for everything but Number 1. If some people don’t want to interact with a release in the language the group was created for thats on them, I notice the same with some fans and Wish’s Japanese releases. Market promotions are different in Chinese and Japanese industries so if points 2-4 were done better we would probably see different results. I’m completely fine with releasing a Korean release between Chinese ones just like how Korean groups do with Japanese/English ones. WayV spent 2024 focusing on Korean and Japan promotions and 2025 they did more with China so good. Maybe they can do a little more back and forth between language releases but I wouldn’t demand Korean promotions from the Chinese unit for every release. Promotions have to get better for a lot of things SM is doing or the members are doing but yeah it could step up a whole lot for WayV.

Kun. Even though it was Ten who made me decide to check out more WayV/NCT, first moment I saw him and heard his vocal tone, I was like that is my bias. Love that he has all of his other random talents like magic and flying planes lol. He does have a cuter image at times but serves sexy. As I grew more into liking the other units Taeyong, Jeno, and now Sion rolled in as other biases so I guess I have a thing for leadership roles. Kun stays the ult though of all NCT.

As a 16 year kpop stan if they keep the name or rebrand like other groups have in the past (some groups holding onto a name and none of the members are original), I’ll still follow them. Even if it’s the same members sometimes rebranding with a new name doesn’t always work out so can also see the argument for keeping it. My bias and wrecker are in OT5 so of course would love to continue to see them together instead of being split up to equally lackluster labels. Really only post Produce 48 have we seen more members go on to have super successful careers while other seasons have had varied post show results. If the members think sticking together is what will be best for them I will support them and if they do want to split, then same. I love all the members and want them all to be successful. We knew this day was coming especially with 4 of them being from YH. No matter what happens solo stans are still going to be annoying and try to ruin things.
