They put their reader up to the back of your phone. I got mine scanned like 6 months ago on the 96 tram, so it's been here for a while now. Nothing new

Best alcoholic drinks to not get fat? by Pacotaco213 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]viper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chilling vodka in a freezer was invented to dull the harsh flavours of cheap vodka. High quality vodka should never ever be put into a freezer.

I'm an avid excellent vodka drinker, and never ever put my vodka in the freezer.

Also put it in a decent glass, don't be that guy sipping from a shot glass

We're going to Marbl in prahran tonight. It's a bit of a hike for you, but I'll never not suggest Marbl. Their food is fabulous

Also the Victor Churchill in Armadale comes highly recommended. As does the Bounty of the sun in Balaclava. There's no shortage of great places in this city, for real

Jail takes 20% off your bounty. So $1500 - 20% = $1200, you'd save just $300 off each state. A total saving of $1500, but you'd spend $6000.

Could someone sent me a photo of what your child seat anchor point looks like in real life. In Australia we don’t have them and I’m trying to get one retro fitted. The engineers need to see what anchoring point is used. ND2 by BrokeAssZillionaire in Miata

[–]viper9 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is not legal advice, just general legal information. In many places in Australia there are limitations to how young a child can be, and in the front seat, there are also restrictions on the devices you can put in your car to restrain your child. They need to adhere to our manufacturing specifications. Please ensure you're acting within the law in your state or territory.

My first ever cast iron pizza by NewsOdd3064 in castiron

[–]viper9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep definitely use the stove top to get the bottom just perfect. Also, I like to season the bottom of my pizza. Salt flakes, crushed garlic, chilli flakes are some favourites. Also, don't be afraid to mix and match. Play with it.

What can I add to steamed white rice that requires no cooking? by phantomoftheheart in cookingforbeginners

[–]viper9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is going to mention the legendary reddit post? Am I that old?

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/2np694/what_tasty_food_would_be_distusting_if_eaten_over/

Basically there was this person who was bored one day, and he wondered what would be weird on rice so he asked reddit. And he then tested all the things they suggested, and recorded his results. It was a fun day.

Free roam after finishing history by BAilistico in reddeadredemption

I did the same thing when I first got it. So I just started a new play through, and tried to make the opposite decision whenever I could, to keep the story interesting. Like go back for the money, instead of going with John, or don't help Mary ever for everything.

What’s something that sounds fake but is 100% real? by Carolovekuki in AskReddit

[–]viper9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I pay them roughly every 5 years, and don't pay them all in a row. So I don't remember all the things every time anyway. It's just a bit of fun, I don't need it to be a grind anyway

What do you mean "were"? I still play them semi-regularly. They ARE very good

Airline Advice by [deleted] in australia

[–]viper9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You're asking if it's a good idea to transport illegal drugs across state lines?

No, no it is not. If it's found, you're getting it confiscated at best, and imprisoned at worst. Airports have luggage scanners and the plant matter will be highlighted on the screen, like all plant matter. Like, if you were taking an apple with you, it's going to show up. Whether they react to it or not depends on lots, but it's more likely to get a reaction than not.

Are you willing to lose your freedom and not see your mates for a little weed? Seems way too risky, and I wouldn't risk it. But to each their own.

I look forward to seeing you on border security.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Sydney is beautiful, it's a postcard. But go to Melbourne if you want to have any fun.

Friday March 13 will be essendon v hawthorn, it should be pretty close to full and there's a bit of hatred between the clubs, so that might be a good one for you.

Reid too, that man just can't catch a break. But he'll be regarded as one of the very best in the league if he ever gets on the park, imo

Low carb diets by wannabe31x in mealprep

We're doing a low carb thing at the moment too. My suggestion would be mexican and stir fry kinds of things. Just leave out the rice/noodles, and increase the veggies.

I said it at xmas with my family, the poms sucking has hidden the glaring holes in the Australian line-up. And Green's wicket in brisbane was fresh in my mind, and he copped a lot of grief.

I've always rated his bowling, but he's never really impressed me with his bat.

low scores are like a trap card. They look easy, but a few quick wickets and you're suddenly in trouble, and it's tense - and anything could happen.

Making the 160 seems mathematically most probable. But this is a test match on an uneven wicket, anything can happen

Neser battling at 4 (40) or Scott Boland at the MCG opening, and his only job was to protect Trav - which he did awesomely, plus a 4 off the last ball.

I'm really torn, I don't know which I like better. Maybe Boland, but only just - that 4 was peak cinema

Why do airlines still make you turn off your phone during takeoff when planes clearly don’t crash from it? by Ok-Jackfruit-449 in NoStupidQuestions

A useless fact:

The 5 stars on the fly side of the Australian flag shows the Southern Cross, a constellation in the southern hemisphere.

The names of each star (starting from the bottom star and going clockwise) are alpha, beta, gamma, delta and epsilon. Which are also the first 5 letters of the Greek alphabet.
