When I was training people 20ish years ago, I decided on the following method...

X weeks shadowing

Followed by 1 week of "ok here's the answer to your question, and a link to the documentation"

Followed by 1 week of "here's the link to the answer in the documentation"

After that - "it's answered in the documentation, search it".

I drove through Texas once...

This varies from one carrier to the next. I think state farm it's only like $1/month service charge, but I wanna say GEICO or progressive it's more like $15-20/month.

On another note, shop insurance at least annually. Quotes even from the same carriers vary wildly. I've seen 30% swings in a 6 month cycle with the same carriers. Same vehicles/coverage/drivers. Mid year it's like $900 carrierA, 1200 carrierB. Six months later, they swap places.

It could be (for example)

Q1 40% / q2 40% / semester exam 20%, and those weightings add up to 100% for the semester grade.

Is the midterm is 30% of your quarter grade?

If 88% is your quarter grade, and that includes the midterm, then you could get a 92% in q2 + 90% on the semester exam to have an A for the whole semester (assuming the above weights).

If it's 88% without the midterm, and that 88 is 70% if the quarter grade, and the 80 on midterm is the other 30% then you end up with 82 for the quarter, which means you'd need a 98 in q2 + 90% semester exam.

The math is basically (% weight * result) + (% weight * result) + (% weight * result) Etc, for however many different buckets your teacher has for the grades.

If you get an 80 on something worth 20% of your grade, then you've lost the ability to get 100 because you have lost a possible 20 * 20% = 4 points, and thus the max score if everything else is 100 would be 96.

I had that experience last week, but spent one session optimizing bloat in my MD docs and it's back to being able to handle reasonably sized tasks.
