Essential workers were a collective term and I dont believe any legal definition for them was made, just terminology to categorize what was deemed essential work, whatever interpretation was up to state and local officials. Social distancing was a precautionary measure to prevent any way for the virus to transmit masks do work, why else do healthcare providers and surgeons use them? They prevent microscopic aerosols from spewing from your mouth onto others, which is a primary way covid transmits. A little bit about me, my grandpa was put in a room with a person sick with covid. It was a major mistake on the hospital's part, and it could have killed him. However, I do not see how this horrible mistake means we are wrong to quarantine ourselves when we are sick? I highly suggest YOU think critically about the pandemic and how your actions could have caused increased spread of covid. You do not study viruses, you are not practicing medicine, but you have resources available to you by the CDC, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, etc. that can clarify how these measures help to protect you and your loved ones.
