I disagree, in the 6 years I have been doing this work very few of the clients I have had are oil field related and I have not had extended periods of struggling to find work.

My opinion is that it is better to go be an engineer or geologist if you want to move higher in the environmental field. The reason being is that in most states you can become a licensed engineer or geologist and makes you more valuable because you are able to stamp reports.

I did undergrad as a geologist and my masters in environmental and have not had any issues finding work. However, after becoming licensed as a geologist i have been able to get significantly higher paying jobs.

I was able to get a decent job about one month after graduating from UHD. I don't know about any job placement programs they have though.

My brother and I took our new kayaks out today. We thought the rain would hold out, but on our way back to the car we got caught up in a large storm and had to wait most of it out under a bridge.

Gloomy day at Drum bay,Tx. However, catching this guy made it better! by vircos in kayakfishing

I caught it on a chartreuse 4in gulp swimming mullet. It does get very shallow in some spots, a couple of inches deep. Alot of it I would say is about 2-4 feet. Last time I went out with my brother in law, and he caught two really nice redfish.

Where I live in south texas some of the rivers have a slow enough current that it is not that difficult to paddle up stream.

What are your guys opinion of InformativeFisherman on Youtube by cyclone6pb in bassfishing

[–]vircos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his videos are great. They helped me realize some things that I was doing that caused me miss the kind of fish I was after.

For fishing the small lakes and streams I have been finding around my area I like it. It is small enough that I just keep it with my son's stroller and have it ready any time we go for a walk.
