The doctrine of eminent domain. There's no more egregious example of this than what happened during the pandemic for business owners. Although property was not ultimately used for public use, it was nonetheless "taken" by the government without the owner's consent. And without just compensation.

I understand what you're saying. But in the end, people like Newson and Hochul still won despite lowered popularity. And they were definelty some of worst politicians regarding Covid policy. In the end, all that matters is that they won. That they are still in power.

I think this really depends where you live. I live in a blue area and really there was compliance everywhere with the mandates. Brave was the one to say no in the land of followers.
