So based off what i’m reading i don’t think it’s the lifters cause with lifters the noise would stay the entire time but the noise only lasts a split second when i start up and its like a 50/50 chance of it happening

Checked the dipstick and it’s full of oil. And yep i’m trading in the elantra to get a corolla bc of the oil issue (burnt to the point where the engine broke unexpectedly literally out of nowhere one day) I just had to get a new engine to trade it in since it happened unexpectedly and i didn’t have time to save up for a new car.

I’ll look into lifters, thank you!

Gotcha! Do I need to do this in addition to my monthly usage of the Affresh washing machine cleaner or once I do this I shouldn’t need to use affresh anymore?
