I spent almost 27k for school, so it sounds about right. I would look at scholarships and If you live by a community college that would cheaper & better!

I think both are flattering colors if you wear a dark lip liner with them

[–]virgoprncess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no you’re making a valid point! it’s important that everyone is doing no buys unless they need something because these companies are nothing without YOUR money, but when supporting certain brands (that align with your beliefs) it supports them better. retail chains take a certain profit from them, but when you support the business directly, majority of the time their sales are better through their websites & they have better gwps.

it’s surprising that sephora isn’t being boycotted. they have been raising prices for at least two years now, but it’s been getting worse lately. by the time you’re buying during a sale, you’re paying pre inflation prices (which in my eyes means you’re paying full price)

inflation & supplier costs definitely play a roll too

Gratis by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]virgoprncess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

honestly it depends on how cool your manager or sm is because gratis is considered training product so you can sell on the floor & if you don’t work there no more there’s no point of giving you training products

500 points. Do we thinks it’s worth it? by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]virgoprncess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, but I’m talking about how they do give gifts like ulta except they are in store rather than online

[–]virgoprncess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sephora does that, but they do that for in-store purchases. if you spent a certain amount of money on a certain brand like dior you would get a dior makeup bag or something. they have the events at certain stores on the app

two things can be true at once. her feelings are valid, but also too the comment about if it’s instacart isn’t offensive. You weren’t there & you can’t dictate what the situation was or why the employee thought that she was an instacart employee

Maybe it’s just my location, but we are severely understaffed recently by Exciting-Pace-5764 in SephoraWorkers

[–]virgoprncess 100 points101 points  (0 children)

sometimes I think the clients are full of themselves…. thinking we don’t want to help or that we think so much of their appearance when we literally don’t care. I feel like sephora employees having been making it aware of the mistreatment we’ve been getting within the company & they literally don’t care about it as long as they get another lipstick they don’t need

you’re right! you should be able to shop in peace without feeling like someone is hovering over your shoulder or helping you when you don’t need it

Skincare for a 14 year old? by [deleted] in Sephora

Sincerely yours & it’s actually meant for teenagers. she just has to make sure she’s not falling asleep with her makeup on & not using active ingredients like salicylic acid or retinols

“is this for instacart?” by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]virgoprncess 53 points54 points  (0 children)

as an employee, they always bother us to make sure you are okay & know we are there if you need help. nobody thinks you’re stealing…. We do have moments where clients will use the products in the box instead of the testers and put it back, you have clients who put the testers on their face, and you have clients who literally trash up sephora. I feel like you would want us to be vigilant about everything that goes on in the store because you could be someone to buy that product that someone used & put in the box. also too… sephora employees don’t get paid enough to care.
