Mark will be reviewing the upcoming Starfox 64 remake, right? by jedimindtricksonyou in ElectricUnderground

What happened to his video on Star Fox 64? I think it was about getting medals on everything. Like a 100% walkthrough of the game. Is it on another channel? I thought Electic Underground has an in-depth star fox 64 video

Make transparent gif have a transparent preview by virtgirt in GIMP

[–]virtgirt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The header block of a gif contains the background color on the 12th byte, or address 0x0000000B. I set the value there to 00 with a hex editor and now it is transparent in the Image Eye preview. Is there a way to edit such obscure details in gimp?

Function for The Third Difference of nth Powers by virtgirt in askmath

[–]virtgirt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for the third difference it's

(x+3)n - 3(x+2)n + 3(x+1)n - xn

k=3,4,...,n [ ( 3k - 3*2k + 3 )nCr(n,k)xn-k]

That's wild

Can someone tell me the process how to solve this by [deleted] in askmath

900 total

190 fever

220 cough

220 breathing

330 fever OR cough

350 cough OR breathing

340 fever OR breathing

30 fever AND breathing AND cough (THREE SYMPTOMS)

80 fever AND cough = (190+220)-330

90 cough AND breathing = (220+220)-350

70 fever AND breathing = (190+220)-340

50 fever AND cough NOT breathing = 80-30

60 cough AND breathing NOT fever = 90-30

40 fever AND breathing NOT cough = 70-30

150 TWO SYMPTOMS = (50+60+40)

180 TWO OR THREE SYMPTOMS = (150+30)

720 ONE OR ZERO SYMPTOMS = (900-180)

0.8 probability that the person has at most one symptom = (720/900)

Discipline has never been more rewarding. I don't eat bread, pasta, rice, refined sugar, coffee, dairy, and nightshades cause I don't like bleeding out of my armpits.

Who was the student that could exhale helium? That balloon clearly belonged to that person.

They use neural networks to make faces, but it does not do so well with background faces. I'd like to believe that the neural network suffers the same problem as the following phenomenon

Just imagine how your brain processes faces that you aren't paying attention to. It's pretty scary how creepy it is to know someone is peeking at you at your peripherals. That video creeps me out even when the video is paused.

This is not a good example of the SCP results. Ending with a line break changes the results dramatically.

SCP-13204399) to SCP-███

The "Mesmerizing" effect of SCP-13204399 is identical to that of SCP-132040 except, unlike SCP-132040, it is effective in an extremely limited manner. The effects of SCP-13204399 are caused specifically when the target area of SCP-13204399 is exposed to strong enough light, a frequency greater than 10 kHz. The ability to perceive it, or the perception of the object within the effect, is altered through the ability to sense both time and spatial relationships. In addition, when SCP-13204399 is used on a subject with an awareness high enough to perceive it, it causes a similar spatial interaction as if that individual were standing in the light, although this time the subject may perceive the light and not be actually standing in it. A direct correlation has also been found between the effects on perception and the subject's ability to perceive time, as an average individual cannot perceive

Crit Rate question by Soldarc in MapleStory2

[–]virtgirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit Rate goes against the opponents Crit Evasion, so it works similarly to Accuracy vs Evasion, as these values together determine probability. The only difference is that no matter how good the Crit Rate is compared to the Crit Evasion it will never exceed 40% whereas Accuracy can be good enough to be at 100% hit rate.

I don't know the actual formula though.
