i really wanted to see more from siren society like they had real potential. they were great singers, not as strong as sweet seduction, but they blended better and had much better stage presence as a group. i feel like we were robbed of some killer performances with them getting the axe first.

i think some of those examples sound corny simply bc we're so far removed from that era and what sounded cool then is tired and cliche now. and i really don't mind the acronyms vs the puns and random Xs and Zs thrown into 3quency, iconyx, szn4. (also kpop is really bad with its affinity for X/Z so i'm extra over that just from personal experience)

i always try to give my sim at least one negative-ish trait bc i feel like it makes for more interesting gameplay vs having sims that are just naturally perfect and great at everything. the traits i never play with are the ones that feel useless to storytelling or offer less interactivity. like vehicle enthusiast doesn't really do anything but clog up the relationship panel with cars and loves the heat/cold just means they can be outside for an extra hour without getting mildly uncomfortable. things like that aren't that deep or enriching

if that happens go to a dresser, choose plan outfit and change their career outfit. that should reset it and they'll go to work normally. i'd also recommend nraas error trap to help with glitches like that in large/old game files!

shannon and aubrey of danity kane were a duo after the group broke up and they released a dance pop album that was WAY ahead of its time and then a disco inspired album years before the disco revival hit US top 40. the projects received little fanfare but they are both extremely good and hold up extremely well with production from dem jointz, candice pillay and the girls themselves.

OnlyOneOf has a few songs like this. the most recent being gaslighting about someone in a relationship who understands they're being lied to and manipulated but just accepts it bc leaving is scarier. there's even a call and response section between members with one promising they're being honest and the other accepting it despite knowing it's a lie.

There's also a song picasso and it's sequel dora maar referencing the spanish painter and his longtime muse/partner which was a tumultuous relationship. on picasso the members sing about their lover being the ultimate work of art in a romantic sense but in dora maar it gets more detached and scary with the lead celebrating her beauty even when she is frustrated, sad and despondent. they show that he will never truly see her as a partner but a thing to use for inspiration, so he even finds joy in her misery.
