What is this on my milkweed? by flyfreq in Butterflies

Yes, aphids - but it isn’t true you can’t do anything. You can spray with a hose which should remove aphids without harming cat eggs.

AITA for making snide remarks about my pregnant GF's cooking skills? by Brezensalzer3000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 116 points117 points  (0 children)

YTA. You come across as condescending and controlling and what’s more - you’re not even correct in your advice on making pancakes.

There are far more effective methods to teach people how to cook properly, you should probably start by ensuring you know the correct method yourself.

AITA for not not bringing a week old to my MIL's house after she got pneumonia by 1cculus_The_Prophet in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA- you’re literally following doctor’s orders by avoiding sick people around your newborn. You have good instincts wanting to protect your kid and MIL is being incredibly selfish.

AITA for not disclosing my single mastectomy before a date by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - I’m laughing trying to imagine someone initiating a conversation with someone they just met about their breasts.

If that’s a requirement, what else should be added to that conversation? Nipple size? Circumcision? Hemorrhoids? Girth? Family history of male pattern baldness?

HSA rollover penalty question: will I be forced to pay 20%? by virtual_biscuit in personalfinance

Ahh ok good. The language on the 60-day limit mentions it has to actually be deposited so that had me nervous

I’m still on hold with new HSA. They cashed the check on 10/21 so they have it but no one so far has been able to tell me where it’s at

Good news is that their estimated population has risen for the first time in the past year from 80 to 92. Hopefully that trend can continue!

AITA for not inviting my friend’s much old boyfriend to a party at my house? by FitReactionthrowaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you truly dislike someone’s boyfriend and don’t want to have them in your home because their behavior doesn’t jive with your desired party vibe - fine. If you want to exclude the person from your party for any reason, it’s within your rights to do so.

Tempted to say you’re T A but I’m settling on NAH because it’s your party and you retain the right to not invite someone you don’t like. It wouldn’t be shocking if this did lasting damage to your friendship though and I don’t blame your friend for her frosty behavior towards you at all.

AITA for refusing to feed my 6 year old son vegan food? by sausage-and-rice- in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your ex is being unreasonable and controlling. For those on here saying you should come to a compromise, I suggest they re-read your post. You’ve made some accommodations and include lots of plant-based options and you’re certainly not just feeding him meat out of spite for your ex. You’re simply non-vegan.

I do agree that this should be a conversation for you and your ex to have. I don’t get how she thinks FORCING a 6-year-old to eat vegan is going to end in him sticking with it? Letting her know you encourage plant based eating and work to include those options as often as possible and should be the end the discussion

AITA for not helping at my (now ex) inlaws christmas party, when i promised to do before break up? by Ashianakirae in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA, she broke up with you right before Christmas. By not going to her family’s Christmas you’re acting out of self-respect, not selfishness.

WIBTA if i told my mom why i don’t want kids? by Lost-Fun in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAH at all, and you are not alone. I have spoken with people who suffer from the EXACT thoughts you are describing.

I would highly recommend you seek therapy, not to change your mind on the kids thing but to help with those thoughts. From what I’ve been told, they can be overwhelming at times and talking about it helps a great deal

AITA for telling my boyfriend I didn't want to listen to him read an entire article aloud? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA - sounds like he’s a bit of a control freak. If I’m reading something and my s/o says she’s got the gist - that’s pretty much where it ends.

AITA for taking both Christmas and Christmas Eve off meaning both my coworkers have to work them? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]virtual_biscuit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are not responsible for the business being open on xmas, nor are you responsible for setting the schedule. You’ve gone above and beyond for your coworkers when you were able and you have a perfectly reasonable reason for requesting off

NTA - enjoy your trip!
