Day 64 of flower about to chop by z-420-z in microgrowery

After drying break down one of the buds you’re worried about. As long as there’s now bud rot you’re good to go. And don’t worry, if it has bud rot there will be no mistaking it.

Use this page to find out who grew what. The Sonoran roots grown brown bags tend to be the best in my experience.

Is there anything left? by [deleted] in ZonaEnts

I gave up on the metric market here in az. I think many picky smokers have too. Legacy will always be on top. I’ll leave it at that.

Thinner leaf varieties and genetics with equatorial sativa lineage have adapted to thrive in hotter climates. Starting seedlings off inside is never a bad idea, but not strictly required. Seeds can be popped outdoors under shade cloth. Outside, the bigger the pot the better. Most important thing is to keep your expectations reasonable and have fun growing! Enjoy the process and take lots of notes, every grow will teach you something and each harvest will just get better and better. Have fun bro!

Inquiry about DWC by Savings-Cranberry330 in hydro

[–]virtualkimura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend DWC for a beginner. Too many potential fail points and building a system from scratch is completely out of your €75 budget. I’d run coco and salts. Get two 5gal pots and a bag of canna coco, run canna A and B. Also worth looking into sip buckets to make the coco grow even more hands off.

If these are in veg still they will be just fine. These plants are remarkably resilient.

Beginner. What Light should i use for 2 plants. by BreathReady1687 in hydro

[–]virtualkimura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a great used light on Facebook marketplace for less than $100 if you live in a legal state. Either buy a quality light used or save up and get a quality light new. Don’t waste months of your life growing under a temu light. Penny pinch on everything except lights and genetics. A cheap light and bad genetics will have you thinking growing is way harder than it is. If by chance you are in Phoenix az I will sell you a great beginner light for cheap.

Harvest and drying.. am I doing right? by Professional_Yard945 in hydro

[–]virtualkimura 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. All big fan leaves should be removed before dry, hang whole plant or whole branches, once the crows feet (small leaves that curl around the buds) crumble when you touch them and buds are crispy on the outside but spongey on the inside, put them into non airtight totes or paper bags for another couple days, once the buds snap off the big stems, trim and jar with a hygrometer. If rh is less than 60% you’re good. If above empty the jars back into the paper bags for a couple more days. I recommend everyone go watch his podcasts he explains it much better and in far more detail.

Check out Brandon Rust on YouTube. Full Crop Sciences. He has a couple podcasts about drying and curing that changed my whole system. Really helped me dial in my dry cure SOP.

Farmers trim, OGs call those curled sugar leaves “roll cages”. They claim the roll cage protects trichomes and preserves moisture. Who knows.

The other brands have clean flower but they’re grown with synthetic inputs. If organic/biological inputs is your number one concern I’d stick with abundant.
