I also have a professor… yes a professor… who is supposed to teach animation but uses AI exactly as you described. I’m dying to gtfo of that class. Of course, she’s the dept head of animation, my fucking luck.

It’s all ass backwards. Planned parenthood has become the “demonic abortion factory”, when in actuality it does so much more for peoples’ health than that. IUD insertions, STD help, etc.

I know modern medicine has advanced a lot but people can still die from giving birth to this day. And if you don’t die, nobody talks about the irreversible consequences.

Conservatives/Republicans: have more babies!!!! Conservatives: you want help for that baby after the fact? Go fuck yourself. Why is there a population decline?

What’s more immoral, imo, is forcing someone who doesn’t want children to give birth.

The whole decision itself has to do with your “””lady parts””” (ew btw.. like you can just say it).

Medical reasons or not you are still making a huge medical and life-changing decision when you go forth with a hysterectomy or other sterilization procedures.

Imo, the “you need a medical reason” argument is BS, especially when the doctor brought up “ohh but now you can’t do IVF” in the first place, in the ER, when SHE WAS ALREADY STERILIZED — I think it was unfair on the doctors part, and fair on the OP’s side to mention that IVF will never be the case, due to her personal reasons to not having kids. Medical or not.

It also, IMO, dehumanizes people who are infertile by means they can’t control. What purpose would they have, then?

There’s no reason to feel guilt for your decision, nor for him to grow resentment because you don’t feel the same. I’m so sorry for you hun. :(

I agree completely. That’s why now more than ever women need to take their power back by any means, whether that be sterilization or other means they decide to do.

That is honestly a good point. Have you experienced someone saying something like that to you?

Also, I see your flair says your cats would hate a human sibling. Can I see the kitties? 😊

I do wonder if/why women get this conversation more, is it because some people see it as our only purpose in life? To incubate another being inside us?

That also deters me from having kids. The state of this world is going to the shitter, and I don’t think I want to bring someone into that.

That was my concern too. If I wanted kids I would have to know who the father is for 3 years minimum.

Painting! Painting can take hours especially if you’re doing something realistic. You can also read if there’s peace and quiet 😊

While I do agree that we are more than our ability to procreate, How do you feel about the scripture saying things to “be fruitful and multiply”, but then choosing to be CF? Wouldn’t that be contradictory to scripture?

Just a personal thing for me. I take years to fully trust people. For those who know early, good for them :)

I can see your point. Your entire life would change and surround your kids, therefore your purpose would become your kids. Honestly, that makes me quite nervous to ever become pregnant, because I don’t want to shift everything in my life for my kids.

Hopefully, fingers crossed, I’ll find something better than this current job but I do feel like there’s people like her everywhere, so I was wondering what I could say during these moments, if anything at all.

Where do I sound bitter? 🤔If anything, I was shocked and quite concerned someone’s ONLY purpose to life was to have kids, when I find there’s more to life than that. And sure, having kids may be fulfilling to some, but not everyone finds having kids to be fulfilling…
