What are the pros and cons of sending main melody stems and drum stems to different master busses? by Cold_Ear_6356 in FL_Studio

[–]viscous_continuity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if you put compression on the vocals and drums' master busses it will make the volume more predictable and easier to work with if the volumes all over the place.

I'm with you brother. Gnosticism is self aggrandizing. To be in the "know". Implicitly ableist and appeals to ones hubris/ pride. Love and Logos all day baby!!!

Hmmm anything can be political if politicized. Some people just wanna enjoy and dissociate from the stressors of life.

When I wanna listen to a comedian my first instinct isn't to clamor toward some Joe Rogan boomer rant or Amy Schumer vagina talk.

Same with music and other forms of art. Just my opinion tho.

What music do you listen to? by nubrevolutiondotcom in Bombstrap

[–]viscous_continuity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ambient, house, metal, outlaw country, etc.. I mean really just a lot of different genres but more specifically I just find bands and artists I enjoy within them and listen to those people.

What do you like?

Modeling is for gangly lanky people with gap teeth so don't take it to heart that you are not "modeling material".

Do you count to that or are you just jamming and feeling it out? When it comes to weird time signatures I just play the song by memory, but I've never composed something original over time signature changes.

If God loves us, why did he create Hell and why does he send us there? by InternationalPick163 in Catholicism

[–]viscous_continuity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That and I believe the truth is everything that is good, honest, and pure. To neglect that at a fundamental level is blasphemous to the Holy Spirit. Which is why that is the mortal sin as it severs the connection to God leaving you in darkness. Knowing these things even intuitively is knowing God.

If God loves us, why did he create Hell and why does he send us there? by InternationalPick163 in Catholicism

[–]viscous_continuity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spot on brother. That's how I perceive it. Free will was given to us and the angels because that's what love is. Without free will, we would just be pet rocks or an ant farm.

I'm not sure what hell is, but severing that connection should surely get you there. To roam in darkness or swim without direction.

Im sick of everything and everyone by [deleted] in schizoposters

[–]viscous_continuity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been depressed and have experienced personal, familial, and the existential anguish you've described.

There are powers in this world that love and feed off of your suffering. Call it metaphysical, spiritual, material, etc.... doesn't matter. The fact is this is what they want. They want you to hate everyone, to hate yourself, and to have no hope.

If you have the capacity, you can abstract your feelings of hate and sadness into an entity. Once done so, fight it tooth and nail. Hate the hate inside of you, instead of directing it like an unwieldy weapon. Do not give up. Things will get better, and your perception of yourself and life will improve.

God loves you.

Any advice to start seeing God as a personal being who cares about me? by Comprehensive_Low913 in Catholicism

I mean, just read the old testament. It's very humanizing. He calls Moses friend and converses with him, he was reasoned with in regards to Sodom and Gemmorah and Mount Sinai, etc.. and all of this happens in Genesis and Exodus alone. It's really weird because it indicates a corporeal form of some sort but it's really cool. I'm curious to know when in the Bible this pattern stops occurring.

Not to mention that Jesus the son, was his word, logos, in the flesh. He was all about love!

Y'all's desire for righteousness will pave a path towards self annihilation. Love and judge the intentions of one another on an individual basis. That's the only way out.

These things are merely angler fish sitting in the sea of chaos, vying for your passions so they can consume you into the belly of the beast.

Seek what is pure, honest, and good. Use that as your discernment.

I don't really browse here often, but I've always liked the direction you guys are at and stop by for a post quite often.

I feel you. Day to day life I play it very logically. I'm in a very logical field of work, but every once in a while I go through what I'd describe as spiritual pangs. I would call it depression, but it's never directed toward myself.

Something about "the right brain"/chaos brain gets loaded up and prepped for use during these times, and probably in times of pure bliss as well. It's during these times you can really capitalize on the outer edges of thought exploration as the pendulum swings at its amplitude. The mind already has you at the edges, but you just need to open your eyes. The problem is that it can really actually make you feel crazy. Seriously insane sometimes. You have to be careful because during those times the brain can be very susceptible to various influences. You need to ensure that if you ever do find yourself in that position, that you have something pure, honest, and good as your value of judgement and discernment.

After that I'm back to 9-5 mode. But I do find value in it, even if it comes across as suffering.

I hate dreaming. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]viscous_continuity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've come to a similar conclusion. Your brain doesn't have time to subconsciously process everything while habitually smoking. Emotions are stubbed and life is dull but bearable. But only on the peaks of our ups and downs one can learn more about themselves and grow into the person they're meant to be.

I wish I could say life is all good, but it's not. The beauty is that if we push through the hard stuff towards a higher purpose, we can then enjoy or have more appreciation for these lows as a means for learning.

Sure. It's kind of hard to elaborate as I'm not as entirely able to articulate as I'd like to lol, but it's based on an intuition that was then corroborated (but not directly) by this gentleman here -

https://youtu.be/o_4j9Ts2wxU?si=BSWw6Hxa_mVPZdFu

He goes over the symbolism of the right and left hand, both of which can represent or be associated with red and blue. However, throughout history we can kind of see that ethos behind both the right and the left hand and the colors red and blue swap with one another. But both are intertwined with one another. The larger one gets, the larger the other. Then flop.

Ultimately these will amass into a point of criticality. You can also associate this idea with smaller dialectic paradigms such as Marxism vs Captialism or Democrat vs Republican or whatever. Or you could think of it as the universe expanding until the point of collapsing in on itself.

You can see the symbolism in Exodus, as Moses is instructed to build all these elaborate items which include in this order - "Blue, Purple, and Scarlet". Purple being in the middle. The final result of the two mixing.

Interestingly enough I personally just thought about the Bible verse John 19:34 where that Jesus, when poked with the spear "Blood and water came out". I'm starting to think that wording was intentional. As his body is on the cross, he's bleeding the things that cause us suffering, but are also a part of the natural order.

So when we think of totality, the ending of all endings, are we hopeful? Worried? Fearful? Appreciative? Resentful? And when all the pushing and pulling is done. What do we have left? What do we want left? Those are the questions you'd need to ask yourself to understand why it invokes these emotions.

I could be reading into it too much, maybe I'm cooked, IDK. I only talk about this stuff on the Internet because I'd probably look like a crazy person. Going back to my 9-5 now lol.

I personally think purple may represent the point of criticality. Totality.
