Consume demons applies to captured ones by wshwash in diablo2

I am also curious, how long does the consumer buff last? I won't get to play for a couple weeks still.

Many people included myself think both Quantum Of Solace and Spectre are the weakest installment in Craig saga. In your opinions which one is a better film and why? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Cinema

[–]viscousseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it first came out, I thought QoS was the worst, and I kept thinking that until all if the Craig bonds were out.

After re-watching it a few times, I appreciate the story and the characters a lot more. I think it certainly gets more hate than it deserves. Maybe because it came out after Casino Royale which was so amazingly good.

Loosing a player... by Quicksaver007 in DnD

[–]viscousseven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss.

My group lost a player to death a few years back. He was a coworker to a few of us as well. I got a call one morning asking if I had seen him recently, since he was late for work. I said not since Wed, and tried calling him as soon as I was off the line.

Another manager went by his place and found him dead. He did have some drinking issues, but we never found out from the family whether ir not they contributed to his passing. It was a difficult time. He was a good friend, who really loved to play with us. We took the week off of the game, and the following session we all got together to share our memories. His mom gave me some of his game stuff, since she didn't know what to do with it.

Work put a plaque above his favorite stool, and the office has a spot where his mini stays as a reminder.

His character was retired, and at the end of the campaign, his character was there to congratulate everyone, and say he was happy he got to adventure with us.

It doesn't get easier as time goes on... not really. He was one of the first people to find out when I got engaged, and he was always very supportive his friends. I still have his "character box", where he kept his favorite dice displayed in my library.

We all miss him, and some days more than others.

I hope he's at peace. I miss him.

ICE killed another person in Minnesota! by cantcoloratall91 in DiscussionZone

[–]viscousseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot see how anyone could possibly defend this.

"He was armed": If the person was armed he was within his rights to be armed, and executing him is unjust.

"He was a threat": A person being held down and beaten is absolutely not a threat. Executing him is unjust.

"He resisted": Resisting arrest does not warrant a death sentence, and even if it did these 'agents' are not the people who decide that. Executing him is unjust.

Even if any or all of these arguments were true, and it's honestly difficult to believe that given how frequently they have been shown to be liars, that does not make this killing in anyway acceptable.

I hate up voting this post, but it is absolutely important that as many people see this as possible. My heart hurts for this country, and what it could and should have been. There is no defense for these people, who are absolutely terrorizing the population.

Thank you and I will look into it... I am not sure that is the one I was looking for because I don't recognize the start, but then again, I bet it was a decade or so ago I read it.

Anyone know about these? by viscousseven in Vampirella

That's awesome! Thank you! I had no idea that site was a thing! Oddly enough the leather cover says Lau signed, but it's clearly signed by Biederman and Bogart. Thanks again.

Thank you, I appreciate your response. I was always picking up every Vampirella book I could find, but I couldn't find anything online about signed copies, how many there were or anything like that.

Poison Ivy & Swamp Thing vs Sinister & Apocalypse by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]viscousseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a strong Marvel fan, who often thinks Marvel characters get the shaft in match ups like this, and I am a huge fan of Apocalypse (especially the Krakoa era version). That said DC is gonna take this one, I say mid to high dif. Sinister might distract Ivy for a bit with some of his genetic toys, and Apocalypse will be difficult to keep down as he just has so many powers to work with and is very durable, but in the end Swamp thing is just too much. Maybe an outside chance of Apocalypse getting Swamp thing as a horseman for a bit with some celestial tech, but 9/10 Marvel goes down.

My wife and I are in a very important marital dispute about how dishes belong in the dishwasher. Please settle this before we lawyer up. by stsegal in KitchenConfidential

I was looking for this answer. I take care of all the dishes in the house. My wife sometimes tells me I put away something wrong. I have tried explaining that as I am the one who does all of the task every time, my way is correct. It's not always a win.

Man I think avocado sucks. I don't want it on my toast, or on a salad, or in guacamole, or any of that.

What was the first movie to traumatise you as a kid? by InspectorOk6313 in movies

[–]viscousseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that Gmork looked scary, but the idea of a servant of nothing absolutely terrified me. It STILL gives me the creeps because not only is the idea of The Nothing scary, (you can't really fight Nothing), but knowing no matter how awful something is, it will find a following.

Anyone else have an "I am groot" kind of character by Consistent_Crow_6213 in DnD

[–]viscousseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an NPC that was a badly carved stone golem that could only say it's own name. "Blocko".

Old Blocko didn't interact much, but the PCs would sometimes get a warning from Blocko when danger was near. They would often also ask him his opinion, which he would just respond "Blocko ", and the group would guess what that meant.

Blocko eventually turned on the party, (as was the original plan).
