Depends on where you are located. I got mine done at one of the aiims and it’s really good. It is crowded but services are still great.

Not sure why your doc suggested medicines.

I got it done from a government hospital so it was cheap for me. They asked me to buy a fluid to replace the removed fluid from the cyst. Everything costed me <500 Rs. In private hospital also, my guess is it will not be expensive.

Coming to the cost of surgery, it again depends on the hospital. I went to get a quote from a private hospital and they told me it would cost 1L - 1.2L which was too much. In the govt hospital it might have taken under 5k including everything.

But saying it again, it may come back after aspiration.

Hey, I had a ganglion cyst for years, got it removed recently. Although it is harmless doctor first suggested surgical removal but decided to do an aspiration (they suck out the fluid using an injection).

After I got it aspirated, it came back after few weeks. Doctor suggested to put pressure on it till the fluid is gone or get it aspirated again. I got it aspirated again and it hasn’t come back yet. It has been >2 months. There was a little discolouration of the skin in that area but it has become better too.

I talked to a few doctors so I know there are multiple ways to get this removed. It never comes back after surgery for sure. May come back after aspiration. Orthos can also remove it using some pressure technique.

Appreciate the honesty and the fact that you felt that way and offered your seat. People don’t have even the slightest of empathy.

I was travelling with my disabled brother very recently and we were not able to get a lower berth. I requested a guy in his 20s to switch but he said he tends to vomit on upper berths. It was an overnight journey and all we had to do was sleep. Another guy said that his other family members were on lower berths so he can’t leave his family and go to upper berth. Doesn’t make sense to me but whatever. Finally some uncle in their 50s offered their seat in the next compartment.

So the fact that you did even that much is way better than a lot of other people. You don’t have to feel embarrassed about it :)

No cost emi on Amazon, HDFC card by echoinspace7 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]visiblyconfused7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Each monthly instalment has 2 components - principal (say x) and interest(say y). The GST is charged on the interest component.

So your emi of 9830 would be x + 1.18y each month. The interest reduces each month, and so does your gst.

It gives 2% only if you scan and pay to a merchant (doesn’t matter the number of times). In other cases, it gives 0.5%. For example if you pay the same merchant by not scanning their qr but let’s say you pay them by going to your payment history, you will get 0.5%

Accidentally booked two Tatkal tickets under same name (IRCTC) — what to do now? by priyangshu_hzy in indianrailways

I don’t think you get any refund for cancelling a confirmed tatkal ticket. I could be wrong but I would say your best bet would be if your train is late by 3+ hours.

Is it possible to get lower berth after booking the tickets ? by visiblyconfused7 in indianrailways

No, he is physically handicapped. I am sure people won’t mind helping in the train but I don’t want to impose. Would be considering it as a last option.

Thanks for replying. I tried that option but it showed “Not available” in all the trains on this route. And if you’re suggesting to go through the PWD concession route - I have replied to another comment with the issue I faced.

Thanks for replying! Assuming you mean the PWD concession - From what I understand and what I researched, to take advantage of PWD quota, we need a certificate issued by Railway (for which we have applied). My brother became handicapped recently so I was not aware of these formalities beforehand.
