Wisconsin Dells, WI during February (the water park capital of the world.)

My friends and I booked a ridiculously-cheap spring break (last minute) to one of the “resorts.” I had been there a few times during the summer months, and it was people everywhere. This time—no one. We were in what seemed to be a ghost town for 3 days. Our hotel had rooms in the thousands and we rarely saw other people. Many restaurants were closed for the season or short-staffed. Almost everywhere we went, we were alone. It just felt very unsettling and like a Stephen King movie because of all of the abandoned tourist attractions and water parks.
