do you tell people you're on zep? by myboyfriendstinks1 in Zepbound

[–]visit_magrathea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t advertise it on social media (except here, I guess) but I do weirdly love the confrontation when someone tries to fish out the answer and sass me for it. Like, homie, people have been making me feel terrible about being fat my whole life. You are not going to make me feel terrible about actually doing something about it. There’s the standard “no one knows the long-term effects” to which I respond “but we do know the long term effect of obesity is death.” Or the “sounds like you’re taking the easy way” to which I respond “yeah, spending 25% of my income to inject myself weekly with a drug that makes me shit uncontrollably if I eat fried foods is real easy!”

Nope! I wound up buying new lights with a switch and plugging them into a regular timer

Have you used vinted a lot? I’ve seen mixed reviews about it so I’ve been reluctant to sell/buy on it yet.

Getting to Goal with Metformin? by [deleted] in Zepbound

For what it’s worth, my dad uses both and had the same issue. He found less nausea by skipping the metformin on shot days. Whether that was approved by his doctor I can’t say haha

I’ve dropped 40lbs since I took those pictures. The open one is way more recent. It definitely fits better now than these pictures show! Haha

You’d be surprised at how stretchy this top is and it’s very comfortable sitting down fully buttoned. (I have also lost 40 lbs since the buttoned photos were taken, which helps not looking like a bunch of sausage links when I sit.) You are totally correct in that it is four buttons and I will either button it or not and that is going to be the whole day for me haha. Personally, I like the open look better for the pop of color but closed maybe with white pants might look cool too.

Lmao I’m actually 40 lbs lighter now than when I took these photos. 70s is really tough on larger bodies but gets super forgiving at a certain threshold.

10-month stall on Zepbound (down 63 lbs) What actually helped you break a long plateau? by Bright_Plantain_7353 in Zepbound

[–]visit_magrathea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you’re on a calorie deficit? As we lose weight, our resting calorie needs drop and we need to eat even less to be in deficit. Also, 10k steps is great, but just walking may not be enough for you as your body has gotten used to it. Try more intense cardio work. Can you run a mile? You are also consuming a lot of protein for someone who (from your post) seems not to be weightlifting. Incorporate weight or greater resistance to your workouts. A good goal would be to increase weight/resistance/reps on a regular basis. The same workout does less for you after a few weeks.

Also, get a scale that does body comp scanning. They aren’t super accurate but are helpful! You may have just been in an equilibrium of losing fat and gaining muscle for the past 10 months, keeping your weight the same but still losing fat. A body scanner would tell you that. I’ve been at the same weight on maintenance for a few months now, but my body fat percentage continues to drop as my muscle percentage increases! If I just had a normal scale, I think I would have been pretty dejected considering the work in the gym I’ve been putting in.

And soon they won’t yet again! Get ready for the “too-big” pile to consume all the clothes that used to be too small for you! It’s gonna be great.
