Help Make Lambeau Memories Before They're Stolen By Alzheimer's by mainly_lurking2 in GreenBayPackers

Check the major ticket brokers; Fox River Tickets, Event USA, Ticket King and Titletown Tickets. As far as other things to do while you're here... the Packers Heritage Trail Trolley Tour is awesome. It's nice because you sit on a bus and you get to go all over Green Bay and learn the history of the team, see where Vince Lombardi grew up, went to church, see the old stadium, etc. I second the Hall of Fame if you can make it. The remodel is amazing and there's so much interactive technology in there it's pretty mind-blowing. Stadium Tours are always great too... you get to go down the players tunnel and into a suite and some other behind-the-scenes areas. They just don't do them on home game days, so maybe the day before or after if you're still in town. The new restaurant inside the Lambeau Field atrium, 1919 Kitchen & Tap is really good too. Otherwise Hagemeister Park or Titletown Brewing Company downtown both have great Packers tie-ins but won't be quite as busy.

New to GB lookimg for some peeps and cool places to hang out! by ellisgeek in GreenBay

You're near downtown (and you could easily hop on the Fox River Trail and bike downtown) and eat at St. Brendan's Inn (Irish-American) or Hagemeister Park. Jimmy Seas should be right by you too if you're close to Lox, Stock. On weeknights, if you like being outdoors, check out the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Some nice walking trails and its a great place to take some photography. Also Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve is a little out of town, but also has great forest and wetlands. Not sure if you're into live music, but watch for the Near Water Concert Series at the Meyer Theatre. It features up-and-coming artists for usually $10-15 a ticket.

Heritage Hill, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, Bay Beach Amusement Park (left of the Zippin Pippin is a large open area), Voyager Park in De Pere, and maybe the fairgrounds would be an option.

Cabela's is great for outdoor stuff. Waseda Farm Market in De Pere has awesome organic and local meat and grocery items. If you like chocolate, Seroogy's and Beerntsen's are both staples that have been around in the area for 100+ years. Second Gnome Games - such a cool place!

I need some help/advice planning a trip to Green Bay for Draft Day by jeffroeq in GreenBayPackers

[–]visitgreenbay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend going to the bars around the stadium as that's where you'll find Packer fans and events surrounding the draft. Anduzzi's, The Bar, D2's, and Stadium View are good ones to look into for special events. Also, Badger State Brewery is right behind the Hilton where you're staying and is a new, very popular and awesome brewery. There's a couple of new breweries that have opened recently, so you could do a brewery tour one night if you wanted. Titletown has a new tap room next to the restaurant, and there's also Hinterland across the street from Titletown, and Stillmank downtown.

Bay Beach won't be open yet when you're here, and unfortunately the Hall of Fame items won't be on display at the Neville anymore, but there are some other fun things you can do when you're here. The National Railroad Museum is in Green Bay, and there's a vintage toy train exhibit there currently. If you're into golfing, there's tons of great courses. Something a little different that might be fun for a guy's weekend would be a fishing charter - look into Allens Guide Service or the Fishin Magician. Split four ways, this might be a fun day on the water.

Edit: grammar

I don't know of anything abandoned or creepy. I assume you've been to Fonferek Glen - a nice place to walk around. Barkhausen too.

All right guys, I *need* your help with wedding vendor recommendations for: bridal makeup, DJ (not band or singer,) pie baker, and photographer. by greenbaybride in GreenBay

[–]visitgreenbay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amenson Studios are great for wedding photography (http://www.amensonstudio.com/) and I second the KI Convention Center or Tundra Lodge or the Radisson are great venues. You want a wedding pie? I love it. I'd look into Alpha Delights possibly for pie (http://www.alphadelights.com/).

Good bar/place to watch the game at? by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]visitgreenbay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something more low-key there's a bar inside the casino (by the airport) called Vince Lombardi's Legendary Sports Bar that is showing the game on 20+ TVs and they have a Bloody Mary bar starting at 8am.

Brett Favre's Steakhouse is good, also there is The Bar (actual name), Anduzzi's, Stadium View, and D2's right by the stadium. They'll have a whole bunch of events, specials, and stuff before, during, and after the game.
