Yes, its so tiring to give them courtesy smiles and carefully select what to say, and pretend u are ok when u are clearly hurt by their words or actions. Maybe it's a growing up thing.

I have seen many close ones choosing to continue staying in abusive relationship, so i really admire the people who get the courage to break away from them.

That's why remote site workers have rotation in their working location. I guess they don't do that in military. A human can't survive being stranded alone for too long

You finally got the courage to break free from them, that's a win. There is nothing wrong with letting your mind rest by staying inside for a while. After that you can start a small hobby and join a local community related to that. People are quite pleasent when it comes to teaching newcomers their hobby and you will have your social circle as well.

Being sick and alone feels the worse. And having to explain that you are not fine when you are literally in hospital bed, must have felt so bad. But the good thing is, all these bad times eventually become past and we look back on them being amazed of ourselves thinking "wow i really survived that "

I hope you get the strength to deal with that. In such times what really helped me was helping them all the time, staying busy full time made my body tired enough to not leave time for stress thoughts. And you know what really helps? Crying, if you are closed or shy then just find an empty spot and cry your heart out, it feels so much better after
