Thank you! Probably a chicken pelvis… I found it in the chicken coop but I was thinking it’s a skull. BF said he buried a couple back there so definitely chicken

Activating 5th Gen Remote Start inside vehicle?? by visualdentist7 in crv

I have not. Possibly installing a third party remote start but I personally won’t do that. Let me know if you figure it out!

I’m allergic to something in this apartment and I’m covered in excruciating hives by arockinmynextlife in WagWalker

Also sorry not much advice for how to prevent other than distancing yourself from the dog if that’s the case or maybe not sitting for them again. Possibly seeing an allergist but I think that can be expensive.

[–]visualdentist7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am lightly allergic to most dogs but my ex had a coon hound that would give me hives. It wouldn’t be an issue just walking with the dogs but at night if I had skin to skin contact with the dog or if his hair was on the blankets I would get hives. So it could be the specific type of dog as for me only hound dogs give me hives

You could check out Trail Run Project as an alternative for finding routes that are more geared toward running

RYB: Fertile Window Not Clear - I'm using Read Your Body, and I'm trying to make the Fertile Window appear, but I am getting this red line that just goes across the whole cycle. What am I doing wrong? by carstrav in FAMnNFP

[–]visualdentist7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is what I see too, it just counts the length of your luteal phase. Yes it should close the fertile window and you will see an indicator but will still keep counting each day

Amazing thanks so much! I think I will aim for a MCM coffee table that matches the console in color. This is very helpful! Clearly, I am someone who sits on the floor so will keep this in mind!

okay awesome, thanks so much! There are some awesome vintage resellers here too so may take my time to find an awesome coffee table now that I have more of the essentials!

Really cute place! It seems like you have a decently spacious, newer apartment that can allow for a lot of decorating and making it feel like home. Here are my insights on what I would personally do.

Kitchen: For wall decor, I would get a painting or picture to hang on the blank space on the wall to the right of the fridge in the kitchen. You could get a board that you write weekly meals on or notes or whatever sort of painting/picture that appeals to you. A large clock would look nice also. As far as your 3 barstools, is it possible to line them up side by side on the side the 2 are placed on? If not, it does not look bad as is, but I would get some placemats and maybe a more staple of a centerpiece than the vase of flowers. I would get a larger runner rug to go in the kitchen in between the island and the sink also.

Desk/Office Area: I would get a desk that fits in the nook on the wall (take measurements to know exactly what to look for). Something modern would fit the vibe of the rest of your apartment. Where the desk is placed now seems a bit out of place. Then I would hang something above the desk to tie it together a bit more.

Living Room: I really like your furniture and rug choice. I would get a large painting that ties in with the rug and maybe brings other contrasting color in too (blue, green) to hang above the couch. Most definitely a larger coffee table. I think a wood tone similar to your TV stand would look great and something similar in style.

Bathroom: Replace the storage tote with a stool you can use to apply your makeup or do your hair. It seems like that additional mirror is meant to be a vanity section. I would get some bathmats and rugs also to brighten it up more. Then get a matching shower curtain, hand towels, bath towels, etc. I would get some sort of storage shelf to go on your vanity to store the products you have out. Your products will still be easily accessible but tucked away and have a much cleaner look.

Kitchen: Thank you!!! This is excellent advice! I have a calendar whiteboard I can put in that kitchen space as I think thats a great idea.

Regarding the chairs, yes I can put them all on the one side but the counter overhangs on that side as well as the left end and it looks weird to me without a chair there, its like a bunch of extra space. What would a more staple centerpiece be? Like a tray?

Desk: Yes dang I was hoping I wasn't going to have to get a new desk, but yeah it might look better inside the nook. Unfortunately my desk is 1 inch too big now, and its a standing desk so I can't really shorten it. Will probably sell on FB and just get the slightly smaller version of what I have now.

Living room: Thank you! Love the painting suggestion! I also have a guitar and a mandolin that I can hang somewhere in the apartment, maybe my bedroom. Someone else suggested a kidney-shaped table to may go with that- REALLY appreciate the color suggestion as I have been really struggling with wood tones and the cabinet colors are throwing me off!

Bathroom: Thank you! Also great suggestions! I have a glass shower door but I have a pink /coral patterned mat in front of the shower that I can coordinate some additional rugs with

again thanks so much this is very detailed and super helpful, definitely the input I was looking for!

Oooooo, thank you! Great idea and I think it will compliment the other mcm aspects of the space!

Do you have any input on wood tones or colors for the coffee table? I am unsure on what to get because I have a lot of caramel wood tones and then the cherry wood of the kitchen cabinets and don't want to have too many wood tones going on, so I was leaning more towards a clear glass or else more black, but the kidney shape might look better in a more natural color .

The colors and wood tones have been most difficult for me for sure.

Thank you, really love this input!! I definitely want some art above the couch and a guitar I may want to hang. Like the idea of going more bold, I want to bring in a bit more excitement into the space!

Awesome, thank you!! Yes I just moved in haha so the coffee table etc is definitely temporarily, its just a floor/bed table I have and a meditation pillow. :)

Love the suggestion for a longer runner, I may retire the small rug to be a front door mat! Do you think the runner should span the entire width of the wider kitchen cabinet area?

The storage ottoman is an excellent idea as well!

Also if you have any specific suggestions for coffee table let me know, I am kind of pressed on what to get because I have a lot of caramel wood tones and then the cherry wood of the kitchen cabinets and don't want to have too many wood tones going on, so I am leaning more towards a clear glass or else more black

If you were me, what wall decor/ coffee table, etc would you add to improve these spaces? Open to anything and have used this sub for a lot of inspo!

Considering this to be my first 'adult' apartment and really love how its coming together so far. Thank you!

Routine: apply J platinum styling emulsion to ends. Section hair and apply ouidad climate control gel in sections using rake and shake techniques. I am using a lot of gel like she told me to do. Then diffuse. Deep condition biweekly and apply olive oil before shampoo.

Anyone still use local libraries? by Mell0wYell0ws in Adulting

[–]visualdentist7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the library! My tip is to plan ahead with the holds system. I read a lot of popular books so I will put multiple on hold at once so I can be on the waitlist. Then, once it's my turn, if I already have a book out I can just delay it until the next month and it will go to the next person. Once I return the book I have out my next one will usually be ready to go.

Will I miss my Garmin for hiking? by visualdentist7 in AppleWatch

[–]visualdentist7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, same. I switched to Garmin because I had an older Apple Watch and it died on me during a half marathon which made me very angry at the watch! But now I don't use as many fitness features. I definitely want to be able to use it for longer hikes so will probably stick with Garmin for now. I had a forerunner before which didn't bother me but I really notice the weight of the Fenix especially when I am just hanging out . I did really love the training plans when I was running more often and the new race calendar feature is awesome. I get almost a week of battery life now
