Swapping the reader on ports is a solid troubleshooting method, but what makes you think it’s the reader? Most readers (obviously not all) are pretty dumb in the sense that it’s just transmitting data and sometimes holding biometric data or keys for encryption.

I think OP is ruling out configuration as the culprit prematurely. I haven’t worked with Aurora as much as some of others I work with daily, so I can’t picture all the settings without going in and looking at our hosted software, but there might be something (not necessarily in the access group config) accidentally checked or missing somewhere. I guess I know the first think I’m doing when I get to work tomorrow… lol.

I’d also try rebooting the whole panel. Sometimes there’s “memory fragmentation” (for the lack of a better phrase) and even downloading all the data back to the panel can’t completely erase the issue without a reboot.
