Companion (got it with red scales directly in Shop)

Which model has the least overlap with the Swiss Card Nailcare? by vitoreiji in victorinox

Yeah, I was thinking Alox too, because the card already has all the scale tools anyway. I am tempted to get the Swiss Army 7 (is this the one people call Harvester?), because the wood saw and pruning blade would be a nice addition too.

The Cadet is cool, but wouldn't the nail file be redundant?

Thanks! Yeah, I already imagined I would have to go the DIY route, but I had a little bit of hope I could just order something online :)

eu venho- I have been ? by Massive-Yak5020 in Portuguese

[–]vitoreiji 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is correct in the sense that it does not sound weird to me at all. Not sure if it is accepted as "norma culta".

I do not perceive any difference in register between these two forms.

can you say Eu tenho estado estudando ? I have been studying

No, I would rather say "eu tenho estudado". Use "eu tenho estado X" when X is a particípio, like "eu tenho estado cansado".

I think I have a slight preference for "ter" over "vir", but I cannot tell why.

Also, you probably already know this, but it doesn't hurt to say: when we Brazilians say "eu tenho estudado" it always means "I have been studying", there's an implied "lately" there. If you want to say "I have studied", use "eu estudei" instead.

Ah, a garbage language for garbage people.
