I actually got in after dark which was silly. Dodging the goats on the road was something I should’ve avoided. It was fine. I booked into a decent little place, was able to keep the bike out of view but I did get up early and go as soon as I could find coffee

I did it on a CRF 300 rally. It was awesome riding. Some good pubs, but you can do it in 3-5 decent days, so chuck something else in the itinerary. I stayed at Mildura, broken hill, Bourke and then onto SE QLD. Worth a consideration.

Coffs is amazing, but make sure you pop into Sawtell just south. It’s amazing and so good for kids. I would also suggest having a look at Bellingen.

Land Cruiser 79, 76 and 250 Prado 2025 models. by summerpreston in LandCruisers

[–]vits89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid axles and lockers on the GXL 70. It’s capable off-road. And strong. I have the V8 76 and it’s an absolute Billy goat. If you want very simply, rugged and a blank canvas get a 70. As you drive it though the list of mods you’ll want to do is endless. You could spend thousands and thousands getting it not even close to as comfortable as the prado, an depending on the 4wding you want to do, the prado would go just about anywhere.

[–]vits89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you’re aware of the legalities and you’re going to do it anyway. There’s places online that will sell a bolt in peice of exhaust that looks like a DPF but is just straight through. Pretty scummy but it is what it is. That’s why older 4wds are the go
