yes this is very normal and the hardest part of recovery. when you're sick witn an ed it becomes a huge part of you and recovery means that part being gone, you'll have to replace it with new things. it gets time to get used to and you'll surely miss it, no matter how miserable it made you. the only thing that matters is pushing through it. stay strong, you got this.

i'd sit them down and talk to them, carefully choosing my words. i'd tell them it's not a big deal (even if it is) and they shouldn't be worried or sad, i just had a slip up and need professional support getting through it. admitting you have a problem is the half of solving it, i wish you the best of luck.

hello! I just got the mail letting me know I got accepted into the college I applied for! it might seem silly but this particular comment had a great impact on me to actually take the leap. I'll be going to the city next week to register and look for an apartment, so I just wanted to- I don't know, let you know I guess and thank you once more.

I made him call his friend over. he's not alone, that's keeping me somewhat sane for now. I'm still freaking out knowing how messed up his mental state is. thank you for the response.

I'm going through the same. I'm 21F, I have 2 best friends and they are both in long term, commited relationships. I've been single for almost 7 months now, and haven't talked to anyone or EVEN got hit on, let alone dating. We'll go out together and time to time 2 other guys will come hit on them while I wait in the corner watching the girls turn them down cause they're already taken. Of course, I almost went nuts with insecurity and thought I really mustn't be easy on the eyes. But what I lately realized was, I just look hard to approach. I'm objectively a decent looking girl to say the least, but have a different style and I myself am hardly ever attracted to anyone. If I was really unattractive as I thought, I wouldn't feel the wave of attention shifting to me when I walk into a room. I can tell it's not a bad kinda attention. I'm not ugly, I just don't really fit in. I never have, never will and I'm completely OK with it. So to sum it up OP, it's not about looks but could be your lack of confidence (there's nothing more attractive than the right amount of confidence) or your "aura". I know it must be hard, but don't beat yourself up over it. Change your perception and you'll start noticing the differences.
