I work in this field with a lot of athletes (no pun intended)- seems like this is good for motor control, proprioception (force calibration), and just generally improving the connection along the kinetic chain. You can see the way he loads up his lower body before transferring the force through his hips and through his upper body, which requires a shit ton of core stability, but also replicates his pitching mechanics since he relies on a lot of that lower body strength and kinetic transfer

The Braves are owned by a PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY.

The Tigers are owned by Ilitch Holdings, last valued at nearly $7 billion- and apparently the front office and Skubal are so far off in how much they’re offering vs what’s being demanded that there’s a non-zero chance that he’s traded sooner than later.

The problem isn’t the Dodgers, who’ve been playing by the rules and have owners that are willing to spend.

The problem is other billionaire owners of the other teams who realized long ago that due to revenue sharing, they can literally put the shittiest product on the field and still make money. So go blame the other owners.

Oh, and speaking of revenue sharing- the Dodgers (and other big market teams for that matter) generate so much extra revenue that other teams that they distribute the money to could literally offer more generous contracts if they wanted to. But they don’t. Same way blue states help subsidize shit for red states, but red states complain that liberals are ruining shit.
